I don't know who the overseas people are but understand they are very welathy indeed,

As well as giving us an indication of their wealth, can you give us a guide as to how "oversesas" they are ?

EU overseas ? America,or Canada overseas ? Or far or middle-east overseas ?

Or Soviet oligarch who was once overseas but now in London ?

understand another bid has been made, wealthy overseas group led by uk name mentioned on here.

Fry is assessing all bids over next 48 hours and it is looking v positive.

Funny this.

Was in conversation with a guy from work. (This is a friend of a friends dad brother former college room-mate kind of thing) Think its his brother, but hes a cabbie and took a group of six (4 Americans + 2 Italians) from Southampton Airport to SMS the other day.

Conjures a wonderful Pythonesque image of 4 Americans (gum chewing etc in dark suits, dark glasses, the hats etc) and two Sicilian aquantances or distant family (dressed similarly),all carrying violin cases etc.

I am just glad he has narrowed it down to someone who has been mentioned. I was worried it would be difficult to work out.

Now that did make me laugh LOL

as opposed to when 'Arry was here and just (alledgedly) on 'the fiddle' !

I haven't been here for a few weeks as it is all too depressing. Can anybody PM me a succinct and preferably optimistic summary.

On another football front I actually started a game for the first time this season last Sunday on a crap pitch in steaming humidity near Turin. I was appalling: Ok positioning but must have been nerves but couldn't trap a sack of potatoes. So please let the news be good... Plus I now have a cold.. Aaargh!!!

I wouldn't want those guys. They'll just be on the fiddle! :D

I know I'm going!

It's got to be Anthony Salz if anyone.

I wonder if NickG will be eating humble pie after all?

BTW I've heard nothing because my source is bound by an NDA.

I was made aware before the NDA that Salz was honing in on an American investor. I suppose Canada is close enough to America.

Regards

A very much in the dark for now

PS But would welcome some ITK information from NickG

No. I think you have got this completely wrong. If you know something either say what it is properly or don't say anything at all. Do you think you are helping by posting what you have posted? I can assure you that you are NOT helping. We all know someting is happening. We will all find out what exactly is happening in a short amount of time. You haven't offered anything different from the rest of the bullsh*t on here.....and that is the problem.

I don't know you. I couldn't tell whether you know something or not, but your approach is ******** and in this climate it is also (excuse my french) the behaviour of a complete tw*t.

However, I also know something. I know what is happening. It's going to be great. Really great. Ohhhh just wait and see what's going to happen. No really, wait and see. I can't tell you what I know, but I really do know a lot of stuff. Honest, when it happens you'll all say "Wiltshire Saint said something was happening, why didn't we believe him?". I'm not after respect. I'm not trying to pretend I know everything. I'm not the chairman or even the manager. F*ck, I don't even play for Southampton (not anymore) but I know that something is going to happen and when it does it'll be great. Fingers crossed and so on and so on and so on.....

Lets give Nick a break - sometimes when you are told something and told it in confidence it is easier to stay quiet. He at least has tried to say something without stretching his confidentiality issues and now everyone gives him a hard time. He is actually trying to do everyone a favour but he can't go the whole way. Cut him some slack peeps.

cheers. Main update was that we hopefully will get some more positive news within 48 hours - and there are definately several still in the hunt - as read numerous posts today fearing the opposite.

Genuinely sorry if it came across as anything more than my enthusiasm and wanting to share - I have no wish to build a reputation or ego on here -as none of you know me personally.

Equally I do not see the need to get offensive, like a spoilt child, just because you don't get your way and get the full story.

Cheers Nick, I'm not sure what people expect to get in this world of NDAs. We certainly need something to keep our hope up, and it's not as if we hope you are wrong. Obviously the tension is getting to people...

I can uderstand why Nickg has to keep quiet. Lets all calm down ...think sensibly and positive about SFC.

This club ain't going to disappear. Even in todays market its far to valuable to let go.

anyway Nicks clues are in the thread....How many names have been mentioned ?

I can think of of

Probable bidders so far

Mark Jackson (already mentioned by NICKG as bidding)

Tony Lynam (Le Tiss) (already stated intentions....probably bidding if not already done so)

Geurnsey lot (asked for Cash deal only - probably will be rejected as no business plan in place)

Potential Bidders

Greame Souness (has appeared before - knows the club...knows the potential)

Rufus Brevit (ex QPR player - linked with taking over swindon - registed new company SFC)

Candy Bros (moaco based....could be Tony Lynam lot)

Stuart Green (may have had meetings with Fry)

Merrington/Fulthorpe (Have openly expressed interest)

Cresswell/Paul Gregg (Ex everton owner)

Also mentioned

Rod Stewart (not likely to lead a consortium and could buy it on his own)

Glenn Hoddle (already heaviliy involved in HIS own business - very unlikely)

Therefore if anybody wants to add to the list with a small description, we can take our pick from that

My money is on Souness....

However ....I don't mind who it is as long as they

a) have the cash to take us out of admin

b) c) Run the club..like a football club ...ie pick a manager...let him manage....rather than some stupid experient)

C) have some ambition to return us to top flight football......where we belong.

Since I type this a few others have started similar...so if anyone want to compile a definitive list be my guest.

Nick...keep up the goodwork....at the end of the day all this does not really matter its just to keep us going while

we wait for new arrival.

WS has a point though, don't you think?

Seen this all before, over and over again.

Have you not read posts exactly the same as yours Nick? Promising much, saying little, poster feigns horror when challenged (or sworn at in this case), what do you mean you don't believe my coy little nugget of information about a mystery foreign investor? I've never been so insulted...

Not sure why you don't understand the frustration Nick, we've been here before, don't you think?

Cheers Nick, top man and the only inside info to trust on here. It's great to hear some positive news. Ignore the flack mate and keep on posting whatever you can...
