Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 August, 2008 Share Posted 27 August, 2008 Just played 5-a-side and one of the guys said he saw Niall Quinn @ last nights game. Said he was sat right behind him & was 8 or 9 rows back from the home dug-out. Said Niall and another man seemed very impressed with Adam Lallana & made a few comments about Jack Cork. Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 August, 2008 Author Share Posted 27 August, 2008 I know f'sure they were after him in the summer... Just looked on Sky sports at the Sunderland squad list and the number 3 shirt has not been assigned yet - suggests a LB might be wanted? http://www.skysports.com/football/teams/sunderland/0,19734,11695,00.html

Window Cleaner Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 good one Joe Dolce, memorable only in that it kept Vienna from reaching the top of the singles charts.Don't ever mention it to Midge Ure if you cross him in Westbourne High St.
Window Cleaner Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 They paid 3m for Hig. Nothing they do would surprise me. Sunderland have gone spend crazy, they'll finish in the bottom 10 all the same.
miserableoldgit Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 He doesn't like Lowe In that case I am surprised that he "set foot in the stadium while Lowe is there".
miserableoldgit Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 Sunderland were rumoured to be after Michael Ball and Keane did make it clear he wanted a left back but didn't name anyone. I would imagine Surman is one of a few they're considering. Not sure he's ready for the premiership at left back personally. Needs a full season playing there, and I have no doubts he'll become a very good left back. Still, Sunderland do like to pay ridiculous fees, so if the worst did happen, I'd hope Lowe could hold out for 4m or some such silly amount. He's certainly worth at least 2.5m. But he`s put on so much weight since "Aspect of Love"!:smt103
WealdSaint Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 I expect at every game there are scouts from Prem Clubs & CC Clubs with more money than us. No good worrying

Micky Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 My guess would be that he was there to check out our 'total football' system, probably wants 'Keano' to adopt it up there at Sunderland...!
