Sometimes its better to just sit on the info you may or may not have until you can at least get it corroborated. A lot of damage has been done by the ITK's the past few years. I like to think of them like back packing students bringing tins of biscuits through Bagkok international. You have to ask yourself how seriously people like Marc jackson would have been taken without the ITK's help. It's clear that ITK's are merely being used so anything they say must be taken with a pinch of salt.

The sooner people on here wise up to the fact that 99% of the ITK'ers are 1 of two things: - Not actually ITK and their source is someone like the groundsman - They are being strung along The 1% of ITK'ers who I trust on here are Weston, exit2 and probably Duncan. There are only a few posters I actually take any notice of and thats because of there history on here and past SFC sites. Fry knows them, they know themselves, and all the details of what they actually know is totally top secret - and thats the way it should stay. Wild speculation is actually irrelevant. Which, as a fan who wants us to be playing fotball again next year in L1, is osmething that worries me about this whole Pinnacle thing. Why do they believe it is some sort of "election" campaign, where they have to make public statements all the time. I don't see how that can affect Mark Fry's attitude or approach, so what do they gain? We saw it so often before with stories and leaks about deals that never happened. I hope there are two or more bids out there, but surely the person Pinnacle should be addressing their communications to is Fry not the Echo, it worries me that they haven't yet appeared to have made a written offer and this "Barrister" thing could delay their bid past the date we have to pay out the May salaries... All they seem to have done so far is weaken support for the Legends Match as everyone is now assuming we will get bought this week....

He may well be acting proffesionally and correctly now but there is not allot of confidence due to past antics. Is he back on here with a different name? I know it is not his bid and im not trying to stir but he dug his own hole last time around and I cant help being worried that his involvment will result in just more pie in the sky stuff. Phil I happen to agree with you, the only thing is as MLT said something on SSN it sent us and the media into a campaign to find out more. As I understand it, the only reason any confirmation has been received is because they were asked for it. TopGun Posted 10 May, 2009 Share Posted 10 May, 2009 If we got a manager with pulling power installed at a club with a new found belief in itself then maybe we could keep\attract players that would get us out of Div 1 and still be good enough to compete in the championship. With a set of decent players we wouldn't have to overhaul, just buy in 1 or 2 key areas. Just like Leeds

To be honest if people like Rotch wanted a club they'd buy Skate,Newcastle or West Ham, all better value for money than Southampton. Bigger debts but bigger guaranteed earnings as well. Our buyers will be bit part players who can't afford the luxury range of clubs.

I am getting more convinced that there actually isn't an acceptable bid on My Fry's desk. If there was obviously he'd be recommending it without delay. I think the truth is that there are interested parties, they may have lodged indicative bids, but I'm now coming round to believe that unless someone pulls a rabbit out the hat and comes up with a party who is prepared to loose at least £4M per annum for the next 2-3 years we may well be the first club to be liquidated. Roth has been split into two to a certain extent. One of those parts owns a property management company based on the South Coast as well as other business interests and links in and around the area. But as said already, they will not be interested in Southampton unfortunately. They are too good and too wise in what they do to take such a gamble with their money and business. I'm not sure LC is such an impeccable source when it comes to such speculation frankly.Whilst he did not expressly state Allen was interested,he did little to quell the rumours once they reached a frenzied state when it must have been apparent within SMS that such hopes were really in cloud cuckooland.
