AndyD Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 Now doesn't that sound good after 4 games and still in the Carling Cup. COYR
Ponty Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 Blimey, I'm all for positive spin but that's stretching it somewhat!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 6 points from a possible 12 would be sweet!
Legod Second Coming Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 LOL - it doesn't take much for Saints to find the glass 4/5 full does it....
Rocker268 Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 I think it would be a great moral boost for the players, staff and fans to see the team in the play-off places even at this early stage, although its meaningless at this point in time the mental affects would be greatly positive, showing what the team can achieve!
Saints67 Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 I always tell my Dad off for adding 3 points to our tally before the match and it normally goes wrong for us. Soooooo consider yourself told off!!! Don't bleedin' jinx it.
John D Posted 27 August, 2008 Posted 27 August, 2008 or we could be in the bottom 3 come 5pm. Not being pessimistic - just making the point that the table means nothing at this stage Personally I am getting more optimistic performance by performance at the moment
Professor Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 There are 5 teams on 6 points, and they won't all win on Saturday. A win against Blackpool means that 7th place is a fair bet at 5pm on Saturday.

Quite right, as it stands 15 teams have more points than we do just now. We may be on 6 points come Saturday 1700 hrs but whether less than 7 others will have the same tally or greater is extremely debateable, don't even know if it's a mathematical possibility, you'd have to go through the games one by one to work that out.
naiser Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 I'm relishing the possibility while it lasts I'll be over the moon when it comes true!
Victor Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 6 points from a possible 12 would be sweet! Mid-table mediocrity. Give me the excitement of a relegation battle any day.
itchen Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 I will look at the table in about a month I think. Until then it's complete arse. Unless it's the bottom of the Premier League of course.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 LOL - it doesn't take much for Saints to find the glass 4/5 full does it.... Compared to the usual doom 'n' gloom merchants on here it's a refreshing (albeit somewhat left-field) change.
offix Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 Theres also quite a few on 4 and 5 points and they wont all lose, so 7th would be near on impossible professor. Now, that's way too complex for "professor"
Matthew Le God Posted 28 August, 2008 Posted 28 August, 2008 No one has mentioned that for us to be joint 5th we have to win 5-0 to match the team curretly 5th. Just being on the same points as 5th doesn't make you joint with them.
