OldNick Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 3pm today filling up with fuel in Salisbury and Stuart Pearce is there as well. It was 100% certain it was him.
The Fat Controller Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 He lives in Shalbourne near Hungerford so doubt it very much, probably been shopping in the city

He lives in Hungerford? Oh, well, it couldn't possibly have been him then! Pearce is never seen more than 10 miles from Hungerford!

Dicko Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 I'd be gutted if there was some truth in this Pearce would probably bring Wigley with him - an absolute buffoon who was predominately responsible for our relegation

If everyone connected with football who bought petrol in the Hampshire/Wiltshire area was going to become the next Saints manager then there wouldn't be any room for players in f'ing dressing room. I've got to log off this thing before my brain shrinks to the size of a pea :smt009

Granadino Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 I saw Doddsy in Dunbridge on Friday - does this mean he may be returning as manager
Huffton Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 It won't happen. I saw Wotte at the airport on tuesday and asked him casually if he was going home. 'Yesh, but just for a couple of daysh' he said. I tried so hard not to look too disappointed...

Block 5 Posted 7 May, 2009 Posted 7 May, 2009 Whereabouts in Salisbury mate? I'll hang around there until he next fills up so I can ask him when the press conference is.

ladysaint Posted 8 May, 2009 Posted 8 May, 2009 I have heard the new manager is going to be none other than Peter Reid.

Big John Posted 8 May, 2009 Posted 8 May, 2009 ladysaint said: I have heard the new manager is going to be none other than Peter Reid. mmm.... ticks most of the boxes doesn't he, and he comes with his very own song. Never mind "cheer up Peter Reid", would it cheer the fans up though, it is quite important that the new owners get bums on seats? When I hear that the club has had to open the Itchen Corner due to increased attandances, I will be a lot more optimistic?

CB Fry Posted 8 May, 2009 Posted 8 May, 2009 SaintRobbie said: Keano doing a better one. Bit early for that. What is true is that Joe Royle did a better job than Magilton with no additional resources and Magilton did appallingly this season. He had the magic ingredient everyone drones on about - time - and he had pots of cash last summer. And got nowhere. Not sure I'd want Jim at Saints - below average in the CCC does not equate to "really good in L1". Chances are he'd be below average again.
