press conference

Gut feeling, but lets just say that we travelled 80% of the time between Fry being appointed to 21st May when the next pay cheque needs paying. Thus (very approximately) 20% chance now in purely time based terms factoring in fact there are supposed bids on the table. :(
Ahh, but you forget that 48 hours in Administration time equates to 14 days of normal time, as is evident in every one of the recent press publications.

Yawn...errr, sorry, did someone say something...??

Right, so after coming up with a completely bull**** statement to begin with you now realise that it has no evidence atall to back it up and are trying to dodge what i'm saying.

Brilliant.

Just a hunch. (not a rumour etc)

This will week there will be a press conference to say there is a preferred bidder, in which they have approx 2 weeks to complete the deal.

Once the deal is concluded.....

There will be another press conference to announce that

a) Mark Wotte has left the club/stepped back into Acadamy role

b) Matt Le Tissier is the new Manager !

Now that would unite the fans......especially if he could manage as well as he played.

Keep believing, come on you reds !

I think the point he was trying to make is that payroll goes out on the 21st. I think we can safely assume we can't make payroll and therefore the 21st is ultimately D day. If a deal is not done and dusted by then, i think thats us done for. In terms of when Fry started, to the time left between now and the 21st, he's probably about right in terms of 20% left in timeframes.

If we appointed Le Tiss as manager I think I'd stop going. It's a Newcastle-esque piece of b0ll0cks fan appeasement that shows fan pandering idiocy in lieu of actually appointing the best suited person for the job.

Up there with the Redknapp decision (admittedly with the benefit of hindsight on that one) in terms of being made for all the wrong reasons.

Apart from anything else I don't want to think of Le Tiss badly in any footballing terms.

Have been at SMS all day in a 5 a side tourno, None of the staff had any news on developments .

BUT!!!!! interesting enough Mark Wotte came into the stadium through the back gate of the northam stand where the cells are and walked round the pitch accompanied by one off the reception girls and then disappeared upstairs through the tunnel.

Our team got a photo with him but he was tight lipped on any news.

He was well suited and booted.

Clearing his desk?????? I don't know but it was a very odd sight.

This was at about 3pm this afternoon.

Based on the 21st being D day......I would imagine the brinkmanship related to this sort of business scenario would mean there would be no definite outcome til late on the 20th......everyone will be holding to their positions hoping either a purchaser offers more or creditor accepts less...........I would think the only way an announcement would be made sooner is the unthinkable predicament that all interested parties, following "due diligence" have a change of heart and think the price is too high

Depends of course on what day the money for the wages actually leaves the bank account. Last minute rescue.com would have to get an non-refundable deposit into that account first. As they will have to still do some form of due dilligence, that means TIME at least to clear a wire transfer

He has 8 days to get something done then, and yesterday there was very strong talk of it taking just 48 hours to complete. I would say, gut feeling and based on no fact whatsoever, that there is a 20% chance a deal won't go through.

8 days eh? Do you really, honestly believe that 8 days will be enough time to sort out the deal and get papers signed? 48 hours eh? You REALLY believe it was going to take that short amount of time?!? LOL. Look, I'm no expert and perhaps Fry can pull it out of the bag, but it now seems to me that its going to be bad news. Companies that I know of that have gone into administration and then take this long to sort out re-financing have arrrived at the point of no return. Its a hard pill to swallow and I am hoping I am totally wrong, but to me its looking like a disaster.

Man alive just imagine if le tissier could manage and resurrected our club! Then he truely would be le god.

But reality is he's just a figurehead for what once was.

It would be a mad action that I believe would be taken by an action of the heart not the head.

Let MLT be the ambassador but please let him avoid the nasty politics of the boardroom

He is already God !

I would always want him to remain that way and to that end I agree with Nick

Le Tissier doesn't have the qualifications to manage or coach a professional football team. Don't know how many times you all need to be told this.I don't think he has any football coaching qualifications whatsoever. BY his own admission "I started the coaching course but found it boring so I gave up"

Yes it was me ....I did not say he would be manager or i think he's the right choice.....just a hunch.

To manage in the third tier of professional football, Le Tiss as a pro of more than 10 years automatically qualifies to coach at that level. He does not have to do the basic qualications that non pros have to. However, I beleive he would need the pro licence to manage in the championship.

Alan Shearer said he did not want to manage, he then said he would not mind giving it a go....and now there he is.

If Le Tiss did want to manage or become an assistant manager along side somebody else then this division would be a good starting point.

I oftern wonder why we have never used him before especially in the Acadamy.

At the end of the day, personally i think Mark Wotte is not right for this club. By my own admission, I would prefer somebody with football pedigree and has at least won a promotion with another club.....and if Le Tiss was invloved I would happy for him to have a go.

Yeah, but nothing we don't already know i.e. preferred bidder will apparently be in place by Friday.

But then Friday will become Saturday, which becomes Monday and we start all over again.

I wouldn't be so sure anymore MB...

The Friday is Thursday rules are well understood by all regulars, however in recent times we have seen a change in the formula with the addition of the Fry48hours ruling.

In much the same way as Duckworth Lewis is applied to rain affected cricket, I think we should now start to apply the Fry48hours factor to our definition of Friday.

I have some problems with my advanced calculus theories, but I think that on this basis, Friday now comes out as Donnerstag.

It's quite straightforward, Friday is the integral of x+1/7 within the limits of 0 to infinity.

The value of x is a member of the McClaurin series Monday-Sunday.

Got that, get working it out then.

It would be interesting for somebody to dig out the 8 days till we fold and how many times '24 or 48 hours have been mentioned by/attributed to him. Lets hope he doenst become the boy who cried wolf too often

Is that the Reimann or Lebesgue integral?

And shouldn't it be x+z/7 where z in the range of 1..7?

He's been offered loads of different roles but its never offered any more money than he gets with Sky Sports for minimal work so he has never bothered. Cant say I blame him.

Certainly not, the fact that it's x+1 means that from the big bang to infinity it will probably never happen.

Lebesgue is a sort of frilly (and virtually uselss) variation of Reimann isn't it.

Long time since I needed to know that sort of thing.

I remember some poor Indian professor who couldn't say zero properly (that's why he was nicknamed Giro) trying to

explain it all to us in the hour before lunch on a monday morning.

Surely then it should be from -infinity infinity.

I can't remember much about the different integral calculations, they're just amongst the boring theories that popped up in 1st year Higher Math that I've never ever needed to use in real life and wish I could forget!!

Exactly. Why give up a well paid, relatively easy money, national profile job for a load of grief and vilification.

So by your reckoning May, June, July and August will be fine then!!

Surprisingly aren't they the months that little or no competitive football is played in England!!

However I think you need qualify the original hypothesis with 'or contains a day with 'y' in it'

There was a press conference today at 11am, for Reading.

The press conference was advertised as early as yesterday afternoon on SSN.

I'm now going to watch SSN for the remainder of the afternoon whilst pressing F5.

Oh wait, it's television.
