Draino76 Posted 4 May, 2009 Posted 4 May, 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8032125.stm Aaaww thats such a shame, I thought the 'queen of expenses', would have been another ideal unelected Labour candidate. Her hubby would be a great '1st lady' too.
St Landrew Posted 4 May, 2009 Posted 4 May, 2009 That's fine with me, as I don't want Harriet Harman as the Prime Minister either.
bridge too far Posted 4 May, 2009 Posted 4 May, 2009 This person should be the next leader of the Labour Party IMO. But he won't be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Cruddas

benjii Posted 4 May, 2009 Posted 4 May, 2009 There's no chance another female PM will be allowed to slip through the net so soon after Thatcher.

But really a Prime Minister should be chosen on his / her party policies rather than sex, don't you think? Still, if the Tories get in next time, there'll be no risk of a female PM. There are hardly any female shadow cabinet members.

I believe Harriet Harmon has shown over the years that the truth to her is something that can be bent to her own convenience. If any established persuasion, I consider myself Liberal/Democrat/Labour, but HH is one of many politicians that I don't consider having leadership potential from that arena.
