Verbal Kint Posted 4 May, 2009 Share Posted 4 May, 2009 I think a certain Mr Redknapp may dispute this statement ??? Even with Redknapp Lowe was appointing Woodward etc and therefore was interfering and trying to run the football side of the club in his own vision I don't think it can be disputed that Lowe did not Harry manage the club the way he wanted to. Lowe always tried to force his 'visions' on everyone else. The next board have to appoint a manager and trust him to get it right.
derry Posted 4 May, 2009 Share Posted 4 May, 2009 The first thing that has to happen is the manager must be left to manage. The Chairman has to back the manager 100% and the players must understand this. Paul Tisdale is only half of the Exeter football setup, Steve Perryman is Director of Football. They seem a good team. I'm not convinced by Jim Magilton, he had financial backing this season and ended up losing his job.

WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 4 May, 2009 Share Posted 4 May, 2009 How do we know that we will be short of cash if we are taken over.I sincerely hope we are not but spend the money available wisely. If the new owners have no cash then we are going nowhere for years to come. A good long term manager is essential.By using our youth, signing a few experienced frees and using the loan market correctly and far better than this season we wont be far off having a side capable of challenging in league 1.If we then have a couple of million available hopefully we can sign a couple of up and coming goalscores from leagues 1 or 2 or an experienced striker at the end of his career looking for 1 last hurrah!?
