Master Bates Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 So far we have: "Fabrice Fernandes wants to come out of retirement and would love to come to Saints" http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A50744306 and: "Tugay has quit Blackburn to join Saints" http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A50729240 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A50729303
saint_stevo Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 FF- how i missed those crop circles you used to create
Saintjersey Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 Both would be good IMO. The Fernandes story is complete bull****, as for Tugay joining Saints I said on another thread that he would not be bad signing (despite his age)........ but I still don't see it happening. Can see him retiring in Turkey.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 Yes.... and i am also led to believe that Tevez has hinted at a saints move, but is unsure if he can replace DMG in our front line
obelisk Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 FF was never given proper credit. At least he knew how to keep the ball.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 Why did he retire anyways ?? Injury ?? or couldn't be bothered ?
Master Bates Posted 1 May, 2009 Author Posted 1 May, 2009 Why did he retire anyways ?? Injury ?? or couldn't be bothered ? Willie McKay?
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 (edited) Willie McKay? nah, pompy nor saggy face were not involved Edit - apparantly saggy chops was involved, which explains everything really Edited 1 May, 2009 by Smirking_Saint
SaintDonkey Posted 1 May, 2009 Posted 1 May, 2009 FF was never given proper credit. At least he knew how to keep the ball. he definetly knew how to kep the ball. Releasing it was another matter TBH I liked FF and was sightly shocked to look at his career stats and realise that actually Saints was pretty much the highlight of his career. It's both scary and sad to think that at the age of 29 his career seems to be more or less over. Thanks for the good times Fabrice
Le-Gend Posted 2 May, 2009 Posted 2 May, 2009 Tugay worked with Souness at Blackburn and I think he played for him while Souness was managing in Turkey.... it's a longshot, but it's possible that this is linked to the suppose 'Souness consortium'
thorpie the sinner Posted 2 May, 2009 Posted 2 May, 2009 Tugay taking the reins for his first role in management lol!!!!
eurosaint Posted 2 May, 2009 Posted 2 May, 2009 Tugay worked with Souness at Blackburn and I think he played for him while Souness was managing in Turkey.... it's a longshot, but it's possible that this is linked to the suppose 'Souness consortium' Didn't he also play for him at Rangers ? If so, then it's absolutely gauranteed that Souness will take the club over soon and Tugay will be the first signing !
david in sweden Posted 2 May, 2009 Posted 2 May, 2009 FF- how i missed those crop circles you used to create Mmmm.......... LIke Pahars...Fernanades greatest asett was his speed. Does he still have the pace?. If he's lost that ...he's just another former player who didn't pass so well midfield either.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 2 May, 2009 Posted 2 May, 2009 FF was never given proper credit. At least he knew how to keep the ball. Didn't realise that Duncan actually played for Saints!
