SaintRobbie Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Boycotting. (but not worried... he's not going to return in any postition. Man's finished)
saintgert76 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 He won't, chill Stanley Would not suprise me in the slightest. Away games only for me if it happens
Foxstone Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 I attended during Lowe's first time here, then Wilde then Hone then Crouch and again during Lowe's second tenure. I think the whole lot of them are blithering idiots and lament how we have been so unlucky to have been saddled with them all. But the club is bigger than any individual and I will not boycott...
londonsaint1604 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Stanley, you are more interested in Rupert Lowe than Southampton FC!
SimonRichards Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 You better believe it. If Lowe returns in ANY capacity I won't be going to SMS + 3
OldNick Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 I will be torn, but as ive never been rabid anti Lowe I suspect my heart will win and still support the Saints. I dont believe he will return, but if he does it means he has saved the club from folding. Forever is a long time to not have a club. I expect that any business plan if he was coming back would factor in crowds mcuh reduced, and hoping a modicum of success would bring people back.
Toomer Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 I Support Southampton Football Club not the men in the board room.
londonsaint1604 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Can all of you threatening to boycott just **** off for good regardless. We really don't need 'fans' like you. Thanks.
SaintRobbie Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Can all of you threatening to boycott just **** off for good regardless. We really don't need 'fans' like you. Thanks. Nicer to have 32000 in the stadium rather than 12000 dont you think?
londonsaint1604 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Nicer to have 32000 in the stadium rather than 12000 dont you think? To be honest all I'm worried about at the moment is whether there will even be a club for you to boycott next season.
SaintRobbie Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 To be honest all I'm worried about at the moment is whether there will even be a club for you to boycott next season. There will be and it will be under new ownership without any Lowe implications. It'll all happen soon.
londonsaint1604 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Well I hope you're right. I don't think I can stand reading any more thread about Rupert Lowe!
Village Saint Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 We won't kill the club, Lowe can do that all by himself! Count me in Stanley Forget Lowe. He is an arse but please dont any of you who are threatening to boycott EVER come again to see Saints. Lowe/Wilde etc's mismanagemnt has put us in danger but it is this sort of attitude and its impact on gates/income that will probably destroy the club. Assuming we survive (unlikely) it really is not the issue whether or not particular individuals are involved.
Junior Mullet Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 I Support Southampton Football Club not the men in the board room. Same economic entity apparently.

Assuming we survive (unlikely) it really is not the issue whether or not particular individuals are involved. You are deluded. If the fans had boycotted en-masse when Lowe returned the second time round the directors would have had no choice but to remove Lowe from the Board (they have a legal duty to the shareholders to do what is best for the business). This thread is about informing any consortium, that if they include Lowe in their plans they will be forfeitting significant amounts of gate receipts. We CAN make a difference I have missed few home games in the last 24 years, but I will not set foot in the stadium if Rupert returns. I will support the team at away games only. If someone tells me to f**k off, or accuses me of not being a fan I would love them to do it to my face

If someone tells me to f**k off, or accuses me of not being a fan I would love them to do it to my face 100% right. Two more boycotts here. SFC as a club is bigger than Lowe (except perhaps in Lowe's twisted imagination). If any serious punters note that Lowe would knock even a couple of thousand of the gates, thats over a £million a year. So why would they go for Lowe, with his proven track of mismanagment, when they could go for someone else? Answer: they won't of course. And don't give me any of that "but there isn't anyone else who can do it" bull$hit. Lowe is in no way a football person, so just get any MD of an SME to do the job, but preferably not an ego-driven incompetent like Lowe.
Andyb1 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Get a life Stanley . You are soooo ****ing tediuos, You really cannot see the wood for the saw dust inside your head. Lets wait and see what happens before fuelling all this negative speculation None of us no who is going to takeover the club except the Administrator and genuine people offering to buy the club. agreed, get a life and get over it
brmbrm Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Forget Lowe. He is an arse but please dont any of you who are threatening to boycott EVER come again to see Saints. **** off Village Idiot and don't try to tell me what club to support.
Shandy_Top_89 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 A boycott would only serve to finish the club off for good, so to be honest you would be going the one step further than our previous board of directors. Whilst Lowe returning (or for that matter any of the previous directors, it isnt just him) would most likely not be a good thing, the club itself would be on a financial and functional clean slate, so it would be unlikely that we would go tits up in the same way any time soon. A boycott would damage the club more than it would damage Lowe if he did return, just like it has done this time. So just calm down, look at the actual situation and realise that really this isnt what we should be focusing on. *prepares to get flamed lol.
Doctoroncall Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 If a consortium is bidding with the intent to bring Lowe back in any capacity, then we really have hit rock bottom.
Ponty Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Nicer to have 32000 in the stadium rather than 12000 dont you think? I'd stake my left nut that we'll have an average gate closer to 12,000 that 32,000 whether Lowe is there or not.
Mowgli Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 As it says on the tin. It goes without saying i won't be spending a penny of my money at St Marys with that man back at the club. To be honest I really don't care for Lowe or the argument you are making. A poor performing team draws low crowds. Success will fill the stadium whether Lowe was there or not. Do you honestly think anyone is bothered whether you are part of that success?

Success will fill the stadium whether Lowe was there or not. Do you honestly think anyone is bothered whether you are part of that success? Individually no, but collectively a huge swathe of fans will shun supporting another Lowe regime. This lost revenue would be significant.
SP Saint Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 As it says on the tin. It goes without saying i won't be spending a penny of my money at St Marys with that man back at the club. I'd like to agree with you Tris but I need to run it past the Lodge first. (That's the Cotswold and Hampshire - CEOs, Accountants, Administrators and Computer Repairmen Branch.)
londonsaint1604 Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Alright chaps, don't wet your pants. Lowe won't be back anyway so it's irrelevant, and if he does come back you won't have anything to do with Saints any more so it will still be irrelevant to you.
sfcalex4ever Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 I'v had enough of rupert lowe... it'll be the final straw for me
Synergy Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 The club will never move forward with Lowe we need a fresh start so if he does come back in any capacity (even if he's flipping burgers @ SMS) then I'm not going attend games. Same goes for Wilde.
saint_ed Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 Lowe returning yet again, particularly in what would potentially be a private company would most certainly be the end of the road for me.
