PompeyLass Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 My dad has just got a new company car, Ford Mondeo Titanium and apparently there is a little jack socket in the glove box that you can plug an Ipod directly into it & then play it through the audio system. Is this correct or do you need to put it through an FM transmitter first ? According to the handbook you can purchase a dedicated single connection lead which is available from a dealer but I can't see nothing on the Ford website. I've got a transmitter but couldn't get it to work earlier. Why don't they make these things easy ! Any suggestions/help/ideas

Yes there is but I have a USB cable that won't fit into a round hole. I appreciate I probably sound extremely blonde.

Get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack plug cable then and plug it in your headphone socket and into the glovebox socket. I assumed it would have a proper charger/controller plug like Renault fit. I guess it's a generic MP3 player socket instead.
matthewb Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 If my memory serves me correctly there is an Aux socket in the Glovebox. It sould be greyish in colour and if your sat in the passenger seat it should be on the right hand side of the Glove box. All your dad will probably need to connect the Ipod is probably a double ended 3.5mm headphone jack. He will have to change songs manually on the Ipod as you need to pay £50 extra to get the USB connector which allows you to use the cars radio controls to control the Ipod. I hope this helps

Saint in Paradise Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 Probably, but who knows with that dicksplash. Is this him then ? There was a family gathering, with all generations around the table. Mischievous teenagers put a Viagra tablet into Grandpa's drink, and after a while, Grandpa excused himself because he had to go to the bathroom. When he returned, however, his trousers are wet all over. 'What happened, Grandpa?' he is asked by his concerned children. 'Well,' he answered, 'I don't really know. I had to go to the bathroom. So I took it out and started to pee, but then I saw that it wasn't mine, so I put it back!'
Rattlehead Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 Surely you can rustle up a gypsy on an accordion and pay him 10 pence. Live music is usually better after all.
