Another consortium with links with Le Tiss

I heard a while ago (from a non Saints related source) that Souness was very serious about a bid with a consortium (I think possibly with some Italian money?).

He was (and is) the favourite to succeed from what I've heard !

If it's right, you heard it here first !

If it's wrong, ooh eck, don't blame me !

Maybe Burlesconi (sp) is looking for a feeder club for the Italian team he owns/finances, can't remember which but it's Juve or AC I think!

I've made a couple of phone calls following the info I received this morning to try and put some names to the people/companies involved. As far as I can make out there is a Southampton based property agency called Pinnacle who have sponsored local charity golf events featuring Le Tiss.

Reading between the lines, and this maybe pure coincidence, but this same company also look after a few London property owners (big hitters) who have been spending money like its going out of fashion lately and who also have strong links with another administrator that they've bought at least 2 properties/concerns from.

I've been trying to confirm these details with a contact of MLT's but apparently Matt's playing golf in the West Country. But I am reliably informed that this proposal does have Matts implicit support.

As for this 'consortium', as far as I can tell there are only actually only 2 or 3 clients they look after!!!

Sounds like an ideal set up for Saints fans to get behind.

Anybody know any more??

Okay, what the hell, ... allegedly Kevin Keegan was seen in town yesterday. Not sure why, may be purely coincidental, and he may even still live in the area, but as a bit of tittle-tattle I thought it worth throwing in there...

Its what the law should be, but sadly isn't. Its all too easy for directors to run the company into the ground leaving a trail of debts, shut down the company and buy it back at reduced price minus all the debts (and staff), and carry on trading as before. Regulations against this just aren't, IMO, tough enough to prevent this.

Unless you are in football and can cope with further points deducted -like Luton etc.

Well, I'm pleased you sound positive & I back up the Matt in the West Country comment as 1 of my closest friends is also in the same golf tournament in Cornwall. Has been all wk. I did ask him to have a word if he got chance.

I pray something good comes of it!

IMHO, the only way Pinnacle Asset Management, are in any way involved in the purchase of SFC, is because they may know someone with a f*** sight more assets than they have, and have a Director who is an MLT groupie.

They are, again, IMHO, more like Barry Beardall, but with as much money in their briefcases, as film in the Farmer's camera...

...and the clue?

"Last Accounts Made Up To: 30/06/2008 (TOTAL EXEMPTION SMALL)"

This means their asset value is less than £2.8M and their turnover is less than £5.6M. In other words, they know a former Saints player and a bank manager and hope to get a cut...

Which is what the Farmer said in post 1 of this thread. Well done for re-iterating it though.

3. A London based property tycoon who has an agent in Southampton who has strong links with Le Tiss and some other big names at the club.

Just looking at Staplewood on Google maps. Do SLH own everything between Staplewood Lane and Twigg's Lane? You could get a lot of houses on there and it's right next to Marchwood, so presumably not too many planning problems.

It can't be that difficult to find a suitable training ground for a Div 3 club.

Maybe it's not Jacksons Farm that is interesting the hovering vultures?

No, they don't and only own a part of Staplewood itself

Why is nearly every link on the Pinnacle website dead?

Who knows anything about Tony Lynam, is he related to Des?

Too many questions, not enough answers!!

No relation to Des but I do know his brother is Chief Exec at RBS and I understand he is sole director of Pinnacle Property Consultants, a spin off of the parent comapny and the ones involved in this instance, not Pinnacle Asset Management.

Why is your photo on that website? Is it a hoax or real? I'm dead confused.

Ah, now that is interesting...

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine who is a businessman in the city told me that he had been talking to an associate of the Chief Exec of RBS. The information he passed on was that the guy was going to make a bid for the club.

I can't reconcile these two bits of 'information', though, as according to the RBS site, the Chief Exec of RBS is called "Hester", not "Lynam".

probably rubbish then...
