I don't remember seeing the Paul Allen thing on TV though, plus there was never anything concrete at all, all the stories were just re-hashes of the first one.

My point was that this news has been out 5mins, and it's already on TV so chances are there is more substance to it.

well it was on the ticker on SSN all afternoon and other respectable media outlets

Has anyone else actually seen this on SSN or was it just the original poster?

Yes it was on the news sections several times - not on the ticker or tabs but definately on the news sections.

Read out by several different readers the last one being the ex Blue Peter guy.

How has this thread turned into a Jolly Farmer assassination.

QUOTE]Is that the one where all the body parts have been spread all over the country?

Been down to the ground today and had a chat with someone I know who works there, whoever takes the club over there first priority will be to install a manager that will generate a bit of excitment and put bums on seats.

Did the person who works their tell you that? IE he has heard they will be installing an exciting manager or is that what he would like to happen?

As I understand it Rupert Lowe has approached Tom Scott about investing in the club.

It is no surprise that the only 'leak' is from a party Lowe is involved with, Daily Mail anyone?

The other 3 parties involved have all signed NDA's, so there will be nobody slipping bits of information to Sky, or anybody else for that matter.

IMO Lowe is desperately trying to do something at the last minute, please God let him fail!

IMHO it was more a case who he would like to see, I think.

Most sensible post of the day in my book.

So somebody who has worked in the city and the regulations of insider trading is spouting off after signing an NDA . Lol

this boat is def not in southampton

Back when we were being taken over by Paul Allen didn't someone find some kind of yacht spotters website that listed what mega-yacht had been seen where?

I have never seen a takeover that was in the public domain actually happen. Yes, I know there are some that were the subject of boardroom battles that were fought in public.

Certainly not a company like ours. What normally happens is practically nothing, then all of a sudden it's a takeover and it isn't who you thought it was going to be.

Seen the story once on SSN in the last two+ hours - the way they play the news in an endless loop - tonight's mk dons-northampton match has already been covered 3 or 4 times with in-depth interviews, I think there is very little in the story and SSN knows it.

According to Google Earth tracker his yacht is parked in Monaco at this very moment, if there were a link we'd need someone with access to his private jet movements unless MR Fry has time to fly to him.

God, I hope so. Not very excited about today's movements. Hasn't stopped me hitting refresh every ten minutes, mind...

Only on the Sky Sports News channel. I don't have sky sports but the freeview channel is number 83. Blink and your miss it though. It's all just a big loop of Cricket and people from Newcastle saying they won't be going down.

If there's any truth in this, I'm convinced Tom Scott is lurking somewhere

These Guernsey property developers (who nobody appears to have ever heard of), are just a smokescreen for the real investor

I've never heard of them either, and I work in property.

They've got that wrong then

Atrocious they are, Shearer managing them, what a dopey idea.

It's all gung ho and huff and puff but no house blowing down.

Still I suppose most of us thought we wouldn't go down either, wouldn't have if we'd delayed the announcement of administration either.

Pity they didn't put out and appeal and bucket collections before it was too late, still that wouldn't have been "good form" I suppose. Effective perhaps, good form certainly not. It's not what City Gents do and expect to retain their membership of the Senior service Club or the Drones or whatever..

Tom Scott does not appear to me as a person who lurks

He told the Echo he was not involved with any plans to takeover the club.

With connections to Richards and Askham I would have thought he would have invested before administration.

He also has made his millions and with little interest in SFC why would he want to start now

One great thing about this thread is that it has inspired some of our 'low counters' into increasing their personal post counts. The old lags have of course not missed the opportunity either.

Pretty sad if all your worried about is increasing your post count.

A bit cynical I would have thought.

The buy out is probably one of the most important things to happen to SFC for sometime as is very important to most fans.
