I'd be reluctant to make any half-baked judgement about the suitability of someone to potentially own and/or run a football club based on their name alone... though weirdly I seem to be in a minority.

But when there is nothing else to go on of course people are going to make jokey initial judgements.

"Their batting has been strengthened by the arrival of 28-year-old Quinten Hubbard, who has joined the club after arriving in the island during the winter.

The ****gy-haired property developer has represented Hampshire at under-19 level and he is the husband of the island hockey development officer, Becky Hubbard.

‘We’ve lost a couple of people but gained a good cricketer in Quinten,’ said the captain.

‘He looks a solid middle-order batsman and a very useful orthodox off-spinner.’"

He's a youngster then...

This forum is constantly put in jeopardy by people cutting and pasting article from news websites such as The Daily Echo and The Guardian.

You must not copy and paste articles from other news sources onto this forum.

From now on this is an infractable offence, sorry, but it's that or see the forum sued.

As mentioned before, if these guys are a serious bidder, how come their names have been leaked and not the other potentials?

Presumably because they are the front runners? Preferred bidders? The ones the creditors want? The ones with the most funds? Passed all the fit and proper persons checks? All of the above?

Not too sure if it's anything to do with it, but Project Blue Ltd is a Guernsey based property company who did the work on the Chapel Chelsea Barracks.

Have a look at link

No, Project Blue is fronted by the Candy brothers, who are in with the Qataris at Chelsea, the scheme which was all over the papers last weekend because Prince Charles doesn't like it. Doubt if they are involved with us, though they are seriously rich. I've been to one of their parties.

Put it this way. At least it's not Lowe!!!!!!!!!!

As long as they wil fundamentally look to invest to put us back where we belong, I would accept a Tarquin, Jolyon,Jevaise,an Alistare,a Pettifer or a Quintus.

Just not a Rupert.

To be honest, I could give a damn whether they invest a penny more into the club above the amount they pay to buy it, as long as I still have a club to support come August 8th.

Perhaps they've been 'engaged' by Fry and Co as a sort of 'pacemaker' to speed up the race between the two 'real deal' front runners?

You know, a bit like the geezer who runs the first 6 miles of the marathon to try and get a world record for the race organiser's prestige?

Not that I'm suggesting for one minute that any Administrators would be as crafty as this....

IMHO of course

I found it funny that they dont bother advetising or selling to celebrities but just seriously rich people who we wouldnt have heard of.

Maybe they want to build flats on the St Mary's pitch. (Joke)

Possibilty I suppose as it was mentioned that a rescue package would be announced this week.

Could be a interim jobby!

Who is putting this story about? Not the Administrator. Not those on NDA's. So it must be pure speculation.

I was hopeful of some sort of update from the Administrator today even if it is to say he has received a bid for the club following due diligence. Let's just wait and see.

NDA's are fairly watertight but journo's do have good sources.Although SSN did do the same regarding PA of course.

Correct, they aren't as crafty as this

They're far better, otherwise they'd be the ones running the liquidation of Muggins Ponzi Pies Ltd and battling with some dodgy used car dealer about the value of the old Vauxhall Vectra's in the car park

No one seems to have spotted this bit, local interest (even if based on the channel islands)? Saints fan??

I represented Hants at U19 as well and have never heard of him. Mind you, I am 40 now...

Just done a director check at work Quentin Murray Hubbard currently director of 5 dissolved companies, 1 in liquidation and director of Restdale Estates Ltd in Cheltenham Gloucs.

Company suffered a loss last year.

Neither is on the Sunday Times Rich List, but that's probably expecting too much anyway!

I guess beggars can't be choosers, but I really did hope we'd attract someone with a bit of financial clout (given rumours of a "household name" being involved in one of the consortia).
