News - SFC in talks with some bloke in Eastleigh market flogging tat out of a box

"He's" been registered for two years an' all....joined around the time the Allen rumour was building up a head of steam.....;)

The salient point probably being that he's been looking in these last 2 years and has finally decided that whatever you may say someone will take it seriously and not consider you as a rank idiot. Having mastered this fact it's easy to overcome an eventual stage fright and take the plunge for that all important first post.

Hang on a minute - Royston Saint may not be a Saint who lives in Royston but ROYSTON SMITH on the Council and Royston will know what is going on if any one outside of St Mary's does because the Council may step in at some point over the stadium if other option fail ... certainly ITK then?

Top post Sherlock, the fact that he shows Bassingbourne cum Kneesworth Herts as his location is just to throw us off the scent then.

Latest news just in.

According to the driver of the bus that goes to the station, a new syndicate is emerging as favourites in their own estimation to acquire the club.

Apparently tommac, has dug out his old forum threads and discovered that he has links to some bloke from Sheffield Wednesday or Everton or something and who also knows Lowe. Apparently Lowe is lined up as Dof, this other bloke is Chairman and tommac is to take the critical role of Media Manager.

At this time, sources are still trying to ascertain whether there is a link to somebody associated with the Beach Boys

In a media statement it is believed that tommac mentioned something about a down-turn in the second hand aviation business due to a flood of cancelled orders and that owning a football team offered a far safer return on investment.

We are still trying to check whether said bus driver has previously been linked to Sky News or if this is the result of a bad night out on Bullfrogs.

Of course the location is a diversionary tactic - it would be a real give a way if Royston Smith used Southampton for his location wouldn't it? He might as well put Civic Centre just so we all spot it straight away! Mark my words, I think this is certainly Royston and he is in the know and we should pay attention - but then again, I may be wrong I suppose ...

So where does SCW fit in the scheme of things ?

I just saw Javi de Pedro walking along holding hands with Rudi Skacel. They both told me Paul Allen is taking over and will appoint Steve Wigley as Manager with Saint David coming in as Chief Scout. HelpmeRhonda will be tea lady.

Also Skacel said he is close to signing, maybe Friday.

He was driving the bus of course....

Meanwhile

Right chaps.

Off to the jolly old airport shortly for that arduous adventure back to you lot in the land of the Swine flu.

Means you'll have to cope without me on the most important Friday we've seen since the last one.

I trust you all to ensure that we continue to track down the whereabouts of the household name, find out who the mystery tommac consortium really have on loan from Everton or whatever and make sure you have the valium ready in case it really is Barry or Rupes Mugabe or whoever.

Somehow I just think I'm gonna miss all the fun

Or not as usual

damn just remembered that I forgot to go to the dodgy second hand shop down the road to get the "I told you so trophy" to give out at the forum match next week. Oh well have to go trekking the car boot sales on Sunday for one then!

Think we need to change the tittle of this thread now ! I am glad in a way it is not these two as they appear very unprofessional in their approach and not sure how much money they would have to invest.

Let's just pray one of the other bidders are better suited and this was our "SISU" again !!!!

Ah Friday. It takes me back to the golden age of takeover threads: the single post ITKs, the rabid "I don't want X anywhere near the club" rantings, the random names plucked out of the Sunday Times rich list, the wild(e) conspriracies and the bitter flame wars.

Better than talking about the football anyway :)

Sven Goran Eriksson by lunchtime!

Any chance one of your three is getting fed up with the other two.

I've said all season, the team need more steel.

We were bought by Flav alone, Bernie came later and then Mittal. But the fact is Flav had enough money to buy the club by himself.

As for the Property developers. The ground isnt worth much so are they looking at Staplewood and the farm and then moving on or is it a coincidence they are in that business?

That would explain some of the cryptic comments about the East and Indians in the directors's box last Saturday.

Being a Saints fan is a funny thing. I'm genuinely excited about the prospect of Keegan coming in to save us even though my head is telling me he would be a terrible person to run a football club, I don't care.

Sorry been out of the loop for a couple of days, where did the Keegan rumour come from? Source?

Oh Royston, that is bit of a tease! Getting close eh? Thinking cap back on for a while.

(Welcome to forum by the way, don't let all this 'low count' rubbish out you off - it goes back some way in to past take over rumours, it's not personal!)

Indeed, we have the worst takeover record in the history of takeovers!! Its a sore subject lol!!!

Surely the conservative deputy leader of the council of a largish city would be educated enough to know it should be "You're" getting close. Or is this just another diversionary tactic?

Does anyone know if he actually lives in/near Southampton?

Mind you, a man of his station (can't say 'background' as I don't know it) probably has several homes.

It came from derry one or two pages back, although he was pretty cryptic about it, he seemed pretty certain that it was one of the options.

I dunno, I'm just latching onto anything to stop me from going mad waiting, even though I know it's mostly guesswork. Our club is on the brink and all I can do is sit and read this thread and hope some of it might have an ounce of truth to it...:(

What a strange place to be....not wanting to spend my life browsing between here and the OS, yet too intrigued and excited about the prospect of a buyer taking the club forward. The latter seems almost too good to be true given previous years of speculation (not to mention the awful performances on the pitch). I am starting to bore of it all now though - no news, still no sign of ambition, sword of Damacles still hanging over the club and not even any decent rumours. Please Mr. Fry - we need something to cheer us up and soon!

The only thing I would say here even though I am tiring of the whole thing as well, is that no decent rumours is a good thing!! It means the people interested and the administrator are being professional and going about it the right! Much more positive

I have been led to believe that Pinnacle and the group they are dealing with could well be talking to the administrators today having tabled a bid last night. Time will tell if this is true.

Agree its all getting tiresome.

I thought it was mentioned that there was likely to be an announcement before the forest game regarding a rescue package!

It also was said that if nothing happened by the forest game the club could cease to be.

It would be a help to the suffering fans if a certain amount of meat was put on the bones if not for sanity sake, health sake, were dying here!
