News - SFC in talks with some bloke in Eastleigh market flogging tat out of a box

The league are going to get into a nightmare if they are not careful.

The CVA issue, the club as long as it stays clear of administration wouldn't need a CVA.

Would the league say that it now needs a CVA because it is intrinsically/inextricably linked with a public company in administration. I'd love to see them do that.

However SLH is in administration but because of it's assets is solvent.

SFC because of it's lack of assets and debt's about £6m is only being kept going because of the goodwill from the creditors, the cash donated and the wages being paid. It can't go into administration it's either stay trading or be wound up as it hasn't the assets to fund administration.

But isn't the problem that the Football Club has stayed clear of administration, but that hasn't affected the League's stance as they have still deducted points?????

It would appear to me that the League have deemed the PLC's administration to also mean the administration of SFC Ltd.

Therefore it seems wholly logical that the League will also deem the PLC's CVA to also be "inextricably linked" linked to SFC Ltd, and therefore if we can't get one agreed then further sanctions will apply (i.e. a further -15).

A key line for me from the League's statement was:

"The other provisions of The League's insolvency policy also become effective"

Here's the best one.....Stupert Lowe will be at the Forest match! He actually asked Forest for the ticket! Possibly too embarrassed to ask SFC! I am sure we can all give him a rousing reception...he will probably be sat by his mate Mr Richards or even on the Forest side of the directors box! maybe someone should push a bucket under his nose and ask for a donation??

Be interested where you got your info

I think that poster has close ties to LM or past staff memeber at club. I hope all the politics will go away soon and we can have something for all of us to support. I myslef dont care if RL goes as long as we have a club next week

Looking for a silver lining.....

Isn't it a good thing he asked Forest for a ticket, and hasn't been "gifted" one as a potential buyer of the club?

I'm getting nervous about the prospect of Lowe returning.

Someone who is slightly ITK reassure me that he's gone for good!

Please? Anyone!?

I have not seen or heard any evidence that Lowe is involved in any consortium at present looking at SFC or any chance he is trying to come back.

The NDA's are holding firm and Mr Fry is saying nothing which might identify those at presently interested.

The guys from Guernsey are too up front and that stinks of tyre kickers.

There are at least two very interested parties.

Let us hope there is more news from the Administrator later this week.

All this speculation, despite being fun and keeping posters interest up, is just that, speculation and most very wide of the mark.

You might say, "how do you know?" and my retort "how do you know I do not"

I think it's called paranoia!

1 + 1 = 3

Tuesday at 4 o clock a black limo with it's windows blacked out enters the stadium as everyone was requested to stay out the ground, Stewards reporting for the Hants cup was told not to arrive early.

Anyway on the otherside of Southampton a manager of this company was told keep your staff on there toes as he may Pop in any of the stores he owns.

The next day the manager finds out he never visited a store as it was not that kind of visit.

So this mystery man is Mr Phillip Green.

Surely not???

The consortium I know of pulled out today.

When I asked why, I was told simply "we looked at the books". They are well connected Saints fans who wanted to do best by the club, but realised other people were better placed to do so.

Pity, because I was going to apply for the managers job when they took over. My FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification should easily be enough in League 1.....

Sorry I was going to ask this yesterday but had to go plan some coaching sessions.

This consortium must of had the cash to be allowed to do due diligence so why pull out now?

If they had signed an NDA as have all parties how do they know the others are better placed?

If the club have not received any other offers then surely they are in at least the best position to buy the club even if that offer is the only one to buy it?

Dont read this as aggresive questions just that you got me wondering why they pulled out.

I dont know why the cameras are at the stadium looking for investors.i would have thought the Potters Heron was where a lot of the crucial meetings take place.

Surely we've moved on from the Potters Heron. Wouldn't it be the DeVere now? Or, more likely, wherever Mark Fry's company has its offices.
I think it is still used. If we get a really serious wealthy buyer it might be Lainston House, LM has been seen there on many occasions

So what facts do we have so far ?

1/ Fry has said we have 3 to 4 serious bidders that have or are having due diligence. As of yet no known offer made.

2/ Fry says he is looking at contingency plans.

Blue square premier league confirm an enquiry has been made about Saints joining them if all goes t1ts up (albeit, not from SFC.)

I still think option 2 is going to happen. If not, you can bet your life any of these buyers will not come out of Admin with a CVA.

Just a thought on Steele and Hubbard: May be they are linked to Lowe (or indeed Wilde) after all? It wouldn't normally be prudent to buy a company without going through a due diligence process in advance but If these 2 were linked to Lowe/Wilde, they would know exactly what they were buying.

12 pages of rumours and counter rumour. Wonderful.

From a couple of Guernsey wide boys to Sir Philip Green. I forget, was Paul Allen mentioned anywhere?

I agree that ending up in the Blue Square Premier seems a strong possibility at the moment. Maybe I won't cancel that Setanta subscription just yet.
