StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Rather than writing a few letters etc, to make it loud and clear we don't want Lowe back, how's about everyone turns up at Eastleigh for their play-off semi on Saturday? Whilst putting a show on that people are prepared to walk away rather than have Lowe back at Southampton, you will be putting some cash into a non-league team ( before we start hating them next season ) Just an idea, like.
niceandfriendly Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I like the idea of making a loud statement against Lowe's return, but I don't see how a large attendance at Eastleigh FC's play-off game is going to send shockwaves all the way up to Cheltenham.
Saint Charlie Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I think everyone knows we hate Lowe (apart from Lowe himself) but I don't think he is going to be coming back!

It would send more of a message to the Administrators if a couple of thousand did, than half a dozen letters.
Mole Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Luckily we'll know if Lowe is back before season tickets are renewed. We can then mobilise a campaign for boycotting the club.
aintforever Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 What if Lowe's lot are the only people looking to buy the club?
Saint Charlie Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 It would send more of a message to the Administrators if a couple of thousand did, than half a dozen letters. Mark Fry isnt stupid, he knows the score. He probably hates Lowe himself!
aintforever Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Mark Fry isnt stupid, he knows the score. He probably hates Lowe himself! Wont make any difference, Fry will do what's best for the creditors, wether it's Lowe, Bin Laden or whoever.
niceandfriendly Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 What if Lowe's lot are the only people looking to buy the club? Well we already know that's not the case.
aintforever Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Well we already know that's not the case. No we don't, we just know what were told. Just because Fry says there are two bidders, doesn't mean there actually are.
Ponty Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Luckily we'll know if Lowe is back before season tickets are renewed. We can then mobilise a campaign for boycotting the club. Exactly how many times would you like the club to be killed before you consider it properly dead?
Mole Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Exactly how many times would you like the club to be killed before you consider it properly dead? As many times as it takes to rid the club of Lowe.
Ponty Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 It would be less painful for the rest of us if you just ran him over one day.
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Bin Laden or Lowe? Interesting ... any chance of a Poll? The only difference that I can see between RL and OBL is that given enough time Osama may win the fans over!!! Sorry Rupert but that says it all does n't it!!
niceandfriendly Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Luckily we'll know if Lowe is back before season tickets are renewed. We can then mobilise a campaign for boycotting the club. I still find it hard to believe that people would rather see the club fold than to see Lowe back at St Marys. I hate Lowe just as much as the next man (and yes we should make it clear that we don't want him back) and hold him responsible for the majority of our problems over the past few years, but surely we'd pay any price just to see our beloved club remain for the future generations?

Evidently you don't. The vast majority of Saints fans hate him with a passion and wouldn't want him back under any circumstances.
Ponty Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I don't really agree, Stanley. I believe that the vast majority would rather there was an SFC next season - under ANY circumstances.

There's a difference between hate and obsession. If I was obsessed with hating Lowe I would rather the club folded than have him back. Honest question, if Mark Fry was to come out next week and state in a press conference that the only offer he had received was from Rupert Lowe which he decided to turn down and has therefore liquidated Southampton Football Club, would you be pleased?

That's not going to happen. But for arguments sake let's say Lowe did return. I'd support the team away from home but would boycott spending any money at St Marys.

Let's just hope he doesn't return for the sake of this city and it's people. It'd be depressing being at St Mary's knowing Lowe was in charge, but I just know that I wouldn't be able to stay away.
SaintDonkey Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Did we really need yet another anti-Lowe thread? I think everything's been said before several dozens times today alone.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Author Posted 27 April, 2009 I've changed my mind, we should be hating Eastleigh... not giving them our money. On another point, I notice them c*nts down at Bournemouth didn't do a bucket collection for us at their last home game. That's f*cking gratitude from them, the f*ckers.
gjphilsaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 If Lowe returns I will terminate my lifelong...45 years association with my home town club of Southampton FC.

niceandfriendly Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Sorry but in Stanley's eyes that makes you a Lowe luvvie... I've got a lot of love to give, but I wouldn't want any going to Wupes.
SFC Forever Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Is there a law somewhere that bars people who have been bankrupted/involved in causing huge loss of monies from getting a position whereby they could do the same again. Hope you understand the question.
