StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 ... when do we start hating them? Next year we could be in the same division as them, so isn't it about time we gave their supporters a nickname, and maybe started singing a few songs about them? I hope if we do end up in the same division, we don't have a gay 'freindly derby' like Everton and Liverpool do. In all seriousness, it is very likely that we will be the same distance in league tables, that we are from P*rtsmouth. Don't rush with your answers, if Lowe comes back then I might end up supporting them next season...
hypochondriac Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Isn't the majority of Eastleigh fans saints fans as well?
Ponty Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 It'd be very hard to start hating them tbh. Regardless of the division we're in. I've followed their results for as long as I can remember.
Saint_Jonny Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 The Limpets. Because every 3rd person in Eastleigh walks with a limp. Really, next time your on Eastleigh High Street you'll be thinking "my god, Jonny was rite..."
Griffo Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 If we stay in the bottom leagues for longer, it'll be Bournemouth who will be our rivals. They genuinely really hate us. We'll still absolutely despise Portsmouth, but will have a little thing going on with B'mouth.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Author Posted 27 April, 2009 Isn't the majority of Eastleigh fans saints fans as well? Well about f*cking time they choose whether they are Beastleighs or Saints... we could be in the same division in about 15 months.
Ponty Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Boll*cks, we'll only meet twice a year and I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
krissyboy31 Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I think if Saints' do go out of business (god forbid), instead of starting a completely new SFC from scratch and having to start from the bottom of the football pyramid, the Saints' Trust/fans/SOS etc. should make a takeover bid for Eastleigh and change their name to Southampton and Eastleigh United. That way we start off in the Conference South (or Conference if they make it through the play offs).

StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Author Posted 27 April, 2009 Boll*cks, we'll only meet twice a year and I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Wrong, I imagine there will be a few of their mob drinking in our manor on the weekends, we need to stick together and make sure that any Beastlees drinking in Southampton are dealt with appropriately.
um pahars Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I think if Saints' do go out of business (god forbid), instead of starting a completely new SFC from scratch and having to start from the bottom of the football pyramid, the Saints' Trust/fans/SOS etc. should make a takeover bid for Eastleigh and change their name to Southampton and Eastleigh United. Eastleigh started off as a Southampton team, Swaythling Athletic, so we could just end up borrowing them to get us going again (I don't remember any controversy rebranding Eastleigh Airport as Suthampton Airport )
krissyboy31 Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 How many times..................... NOT THE F*CKING SAINTS TRUST!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!! I don't like them either but IMO nothing will ever get under way, without them (or their legal entity).

StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Author Posted 27 April, 2009 I don't like them either but IMO nothing will ever get under way, without them (or their legal entity). B*llocks to their legal entity, don't believe all that spin. All you need is a Registered Ltd Company ( even I've got one of them ) , and the relevent skills and money to mount a takeover.... which from what I am aware, the Saints Trust don't have.
um pahars Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Wrong, I imagine there will be a few of their mob drinking in our manor on the weekends, we need to stick together and make sure that any Beastlees drinking in Southampton are dealt with appropriately. With all due respect shouldn't you be supporting your local team anyway:D I very much doubt the bells of St Mary's can be heard from the By-Pass Ground!!!!!

I live in North Baddesley, it could be said that I live closer to Eastleigh than St Marys.... don't worry though, I will make sure that my beautiful village is kept free from the Beestlees. And if we are on about birth and bells, well I was born within earshot of the Bow Bells. I could have supported West Ham, for some f*cking stupid reason, I chose Saints :-(
SET Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 On no occasion should any group takeover another club and change it to their own, its simple not right.
krissyboy31 Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 On no occasion should any group takeover another club and change it to their own, its simple not right. I was thinking more of a merger than a takeover, in the same way, Havant and Waterlooville, Rushden and Diamonds, Dagenham and Redbridge and Lymington and New Milton have in the past.

um pahars Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I live in North Baddesley, I wouldn't be posting that up on here, it's a public forum FFS and I would be keeping that quiet!!!!!! As the crow flies, the By-Pass ground is by far the closest. When the new Club is formed, we won't want any yokels from out of town that's for sure.
Toomer Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 i want eastleigh to revert to their original name swaythling athletic:Dhad many a good time in their bar. I played for Swaythling Athletic when I was young fit & slim along with Roger Sherwood and Teddy Ragan.
Give it to Ron Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Eastleigh started off as a Southampton team, Swaythling Athletic, so we could just end up borrowing them to get us going again (I don't remember any controversy rebranding Eastleigh Airport as Suthampton Airport ) True my old dad was captain when it was Southampton CPC and then played for Swaythling - he was at Saints with Sydie and Paine etc.
Carlos Fandango Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Well I'm from Eastleigh and I go into your town most weekends and never get any aggro. I could walk through the high street in my colours and you would run etc etc etc... (is this the sort of thing you mean?)
spyinthesky Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Saints first 'rivals' were Freemantle (the Magpies) Perhaps Freemantle FC should be reformed?

Get over yourself you big gay Stu FFS. 1 - it is highly unlikely and 2 - yes. most of us that reside in Eastleigh are Saints fans. Now, with all the threads on here at the moment about fighting between Burnley fans v Saints fans and Saints fans v Saints fans - do you REALLY think it best to start a thread enticing/promoting violence/hatred amongst Saints/Eastleigh fans - have a word please mate. Think before you type.
ottery st mary Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 True my old dad was captain when it was Southampton CPC and then played for Swaythling - he was at Saints with Sydie and Paine etc. Whatever happened to Sam Stevens who played for Saints and Swaythling and also Managed them for many years?
pilsburydoughboy Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I dont think anything SRS types should be taken seriously.
Saint in Paradise Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 . And if we are on about birth and bells, well I was born within earshot of the Bow Bells. Think before you type. Ok, I'm really going out on a limb here but I reckon Stuart was merely joshing. No one is about to hold football grudges with Eastleigh fans, at least not anytime soon. I remember it all being very pleasant when they beat us in pre-season a couple of years back.
hamster Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 I was thinking more of a merger than a takeover, in the same way, Havant and Waterlooville, Rushden and Diamonds, Dagenham and Redbridge and Lymington and New Milton have in the past. just like manchester and Ucking merged to from ....Manchester Ucking United?
Saints Warrior Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Been watching Eastleigh FC for last 2 seasons as well as Saints, this season to 8 games and Saints would struggle in the BSS. Its good entertaining football with a proper ground, I just hate SMS and the bowl shape plus too far away from pitch. It just shows how awful Saints scouting has been as we could have stayed up no problem if we got some plain basic Div 3-4 or non leaque players, also at Eastleigh the front players actually kick the ball in a straight line towards the net!! get down to the 2nd leg playoff vs Hayes and Yeading this Saturday!!! £10, first leg away tonight. You might be enlghtened as to how far Rupert and the board of idiots have ruined SFC. Oh yes there are lots of Saints fans each week!! and some have defected too, not just due to Lowe but the sheer greed of players and lack of commitment to any club over the years.
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 And if we are on about birth and bells, well I was born within earshot of the Bow Bells. ( God that explains a lot
StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Author Posted 28 April, 2009 Get over yourself you big gay Stu FFS. 1 - it is highly unlikely and 2 - yes. most of us that reside in Eastleigh are Saints fans. Yes I think it is best, I cannot stad Eastleigh, I suggest we get a mob together and take it to them in their own ground.... we can then cross over the road and trash P*mpeys training ground, killing two birds with one stone.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 The Limpets. Because every 3rd person in Eastleigh walks with a limp. Really, next time your on Eastleigh High Street you'll be thinking "my god, Jonny was rite..." Another sweeping generalisation from someone who is, shall we say, less intellectually gifted?
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Wrong, I imagine there will be a few of their mob drinking in our manor on the weekends, we need to stick together and make sure that any Beastlees drinking in Southampton are dealt with appropriately. Oh do please expand on this, I'm warming to your line of thought.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 I dont think anything SRS types should be taken seriously. Maybe, but StuRomseyRant does take himself extremely seriously, if only the rest of us would! When we stop splitting our sides from laughing at him!
StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Author Posted 28 April, 2009 Oh do please expand on this, I'm warming to your line of thought. Basically I am proposing completely unprovoked attacks on anyone from Eastleigh who is stupid enough to drink in Southampton on the weekends. I include women and children shoppers in this proposal, they should stick to the f*cking sh!tty Swan Centre.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Ok, I'm really going out on a limb here but I reckon Stuart was merely joshing. No one is about to hold football grudges with Eastleigh fans, at least not anytime soon. I remember it all being very pleasant when they beat us in pre-season a couple of years back. Of course he is! Takes a typical eastleigh person to let Stu upset them, now let me get my hands on him! :smt117
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Basically I am proposing completely unprovoked attacks on anyone from Eastleigh who is stupid enough to drink in Southampton on the weekends. Oh! That's alright then, I thought you were talking about handbags at 40 paces!
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Basically I am proposing completely unprovoked attacks on anyone from Eastleigh who is stupid enough to drink in Southampton on the weekends. Says the man from North Baddesley
StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Author Posted 28 April, 2009 Says the man from North Baddesley That's not in Eastleigh though is it, mongchops?
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 hardly Southampton either though is it **** breathe
StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Author Posted 28 April, 2009 hardly Southampton either though is it **** breathe My house is closer to Southampton that it is to Eastleigh or Romsey scumdilleypop.
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 But not actually in Southampton, there fore you are outsider scum who should be dealt with under your rules goodnight
scott_saints Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Living in Bishoptsoke I suppose I'm in the Eastleigh "umbrella". However, I say I'm from Southampton and support Southampton and hate the town that is Eastleigh with a passion. Am I a glory hunter?
Mustapha Fag Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 depends are you Stueys love interest as that could rule you out IMO
Master Bates Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 Living in Sholing (nice part opposite fields) what does that make me?
Charlie Wayman Posted 28 April, 2009 Posted 28 April, 2009 I was thinking more of a merger than a takeover, in the same way, Havant and Waterlooville, Rushden and Diamonds, Dagenham and Redbridge and Lymington and New Milton have in the past. Southampton & Portsmouth = Solent Seafarers?
StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Author Posted 28 April, 2009 Living in Sholing (nice part opposite fields) what does that make me? Inbred.
