doughnutman Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Gillet has been immense for us this season I feel and had he not got injured i think we would have avoided relegation (not including the points deduction). IMO if we can have a spine of KD, size and gillet for next season we will do very well.

Saints foreva Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 After a poor start to the season (in my opinion) he has really impressed me since the turn of the year. For his size you wouldn't expect alot from him but what a battler. Always gets stuck in. Will be pleased if he stays next season.

But likewise, if him staying means Ryan Smith staying, then I'm not so sure! That's Ryan "World Class" Smith to you...

LeBenali Posted 27 April, 2009 Posted 27 April, 2009 Turning point for Gillett this season for me was when he got a few boo's around February time (can't remember the game?) for backing out of a 50/50 tackle. Ever since then he's been immense. Started off well with Schneiderlin aswell, all in alll would probs say only KD and Perry have been better then him this season.
