benjii Posted 27 April, 2009 Share Posted 27 April, 2009 At the risk of being boring' date=' pompous and pious, should we really be applauding teh burnley fans giving this skate a good hiding?[/b'] I know the way that post is written is bloody funnt, but why is this OK because he was in the away end? Yep.
Barry the Badger Posted 27 April, 2009 Share Posted 27 April, 2009 Interestingly, exactly the same thing happened when Leeds got relegated to L1... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-487614/Ipswich-chairman-blasts-weak-FA-Leeds-pitch-invasion.html
lettuce Posted 27 April, 2009 Share Posted 27 April, 2009 Oooh, that is good. How long you been waiting to use that one? Hot off the press that one... got it in a text last week from my usual supplier!

StuRomseySaint Posted 27 April, 2009 Share Posted 27 April, 2009 Hate to say it, but one of the YouTube. Clips clearly shows the flare being thrown from the pitch first. Therefore this story is also ********.

StuRomseySaint Posted 28 April, 2009 Share Posted 28 April, 2009 Link to youtube? And also, how do you know that the flare hadn't already been thrown before the start of the filming of the clip? On my phone so can't post links, it has just been posted on ladysaints thread. Watch it get lit in the Southampton end, thrown ( but with little smoke ) and then returned fully ignited. Let's also get onto perspective, it was a smoke pellet, not a flare, and less dangerous to have one of then thrown at you than a coin. Check out the press and people on here blowing things out of proportion!
Griffo Posted 28 April, 2009 Share Posted 28 April, 2009 The smoke bomb was thrown first from the Saints fans on the pitch, not a flare, that would be ****ing dangerous. When the smoke bomb was first thrown it had only just been lighted and therefore was only 'fully smoking' by the time Burnley fans had thrown it back.
