Spoke to his cousin recently and he said he was set to re-join Saints should we get relegated.

Should point out this was prior to our points deduction too.

As nice as his cousin was, not sure if I believe him on this one!

Don't know whether Wotte would be trying to sign him, and no idea if we're in a position to sign players for next season at the minute.

He was at Bournemouth a year ago and wasn't good enough for League 2 so fail to see how he'll be good enough for League 1 next season.

Being honest, he was never really good enough as a PL player either, or for that matter in SPL. However what he was is a player with a footballing brain which allowed him to be that little bit better than his ability and which made him a very useful player to have in your side

Not sure hcdajfu next year but that is the sort of player we would need to help bring the kids along, experienced and with a brain, and if we were honest is what we should have bought at the start of this season. We sought of hoped it would be Svennson, Wotton but....

Yeah and 20 years ago I had hair and didn't have a beer gut. We need to look forward and re-signing Telfer is anything but.

My mate plays 5 aside football with him, claus and MLT each week.

Said Telfer is still super fit

Bloody hell, just imagine turning up for 5 a side one Tuesday night and that lot are on the other side!

You are right we cannot sign anyone whilst admin is on going.

Personally i hope Wotte has nothing to do with us after the Forest game.

claus and Matt not superfit then?;)

I agree thought he looked brilliant and had loads of energy today constantly on the overlap, he was at Leeds at the start of the season but is now apprantely playing for Slough.

He would certainly be a welcome addition to the squad, great pro and example.

telfer asked for a trial at the begining of last season and willing to play for peanuts but lowe refused him a trial.

The only decision Lowe got right all season then - I just never got the Telfer thing - couldn't pass, tackle or cross - actually come to think of it he would have fitted in quite well this season. Would have been a waste of peanuts though IMHO.

I didn't.

likewise. I thought he was excelletn at fullback. Still the best defensive headerer of a ball I have ever seen.

agreed. maybe we should sign ronaldo, tevez, rooney and berbatov

If that's all you can come up with I rest my case. Messi, Henry, Eto and Xavi would be far better.

Inigo idiakez is still a free agent , Gregory Vignal has not played a game for lens all season, Alex Ostlund has only six appearrances in Denmark maybe we should be after them to OR we could blood some decent youngsters and build a squad for the next five years. Either way i hope any new owner has more ambition than bringing Paul Telfer back.

Why can't we sign anyone ? SFC is still technically not in administration. If the Football League impose signing sanctions on top of the 10 point deduction then they'll have a lot of explaining to do.

However, there's still no chance we'll sign anyone until a new owner is found since we don't have the money to pay wages to new players.

.......perhaps we should see who the new owners want as manager before signing anyone.........

Aging has beens the lot of them.

I'm not sure we need Telfer's skills on the pitch but we certainly need his attitude in the dressing room. When he left Bournemouth it wasn't because he wasn't good enough it was that he was injured and since they were in a financial mess rather than sitting on in the treatment room drawing a wage they could ill afford he had his contract cancelled to help them stay in business.

May be if a couple of long term Saints casualities had done the same we wouldn't be in this mess...

Telfer left Bournemouth by mutual consent as he was injured and couldn't play - so he wouldn't be taking a wage for doing nothing

I've talked to him a couple of times in Starbucks about this, Saints and why WGS left

he's a down to earth bloke

I think Claus plays on Wednesday at goals - at least occasionally. Not seen the other 2 but defo seen Claus in the bar with tracky dacks on

Vignal is out of contract this summer and I can't see Lens offering him a new contract. Has also been through one less ice age than Telfer and is only 27.

HCDAJFU!

Telfer was regularly boo'ed at Bournemouth & generally regarded by their fans as abysmal .... now seeing the general shower of sh*te that plays at Dean Court that must be some achievement.
