ladysaint Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 I saw fans smash up public address speakers, microphones and photographic equipment. Unforgivable in my opinion and worth several thousand pounds at least. Did this happen yesterday then after the game if so how did they get access to this equipment.

saintjinksie Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 Really? So the metal frame work (which now in many places is bent and twsited) that holds these advertising signs, that got damaged when ripping them out, stood on etc etc doesnt cost money? The goal posts at the itchen end that now needs to be replaced due to the stress fracture in it when loads of idiots started to swing on it, doesnt cost money? The corner flags that were stolen doesnt cost money? The square meters of turf that was ripped up doesnt cost money? Part of the sprinkler system that was kicked and near enough ripped out of the ground doesnt cost money? I think there is quite a bit here that we could do without at the moment. it would be replaced anyway, techincally we should have all taken some turf and save the club some money by disposing of it for them.

The Hampshire Cup final is taking place there on Tuesday night, are you suggesting they are going to re-lay it for then ? or is it more likely the groundsman will be doing alot of making good over the next few days, at the clubs expense.

cellone Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 RattleHead, did any look promising or was it the same lot from last year?

StuRomseySaint Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 and thats OK is it? If what you say is true it's unbelievable..taking a ladder back to the Dell with a tool kit to do some burglary Yep, wasn't the only one either..... I know some people that tried it the day after and by then they had got the security sorted, they jumped the fence by the Archers Road and got a nasty nip off an Alsation waiting for them, poor chaps. You should have seen the amount of stuff that was taken after the Last Dinner at the Dell, quite amusing to see so many people black tied up walking out with random bits of memorabilia...
Griffo Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 Well the place was getting knocked down, which is ever so slightly different.
StuRomseySaint Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 Well the place was getting knocked down, which is ever so slightly different. Exactly, everything inside the stadium, only had scrap value, but lots of sentimental value to me.... well the stuff I didn't sell anyway.
Griffo Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 We've got our seats from The Dell, 2 of them. We also had a Carling advertising hoarding which is somewhere in the shed. In all honesty, where the **** would they come in useful after the ground had stopped being used? They may just be seats to some people but they mean a hell of a lot more to me.
StuRomseySaint Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 How many of tv do-gooders on here have their Dell seat? Did you pay for it? If not then it is no different to taking stuff yesterday. The club were selling them seats if you remember... So I hope you all paid for them... I'm sure you all did, being upstanding citizens.

Christ the poor moral standards of people in this thread, the Dell was at its end; THE CLUB via the Echo said that you could have the seats at the Dell as long as they were Red ones. Nothing, Nowhere, or No one said that we could trespass on the pitch and trash the place......................... As they always said at school would you do that at home?
Kaiser Soze Posted 26 April, 2009 Posted 26 April, 2009 I don't condone anyone for smashing or thieving from our own stadium....BUT, in all fainress the club has robbed us all season...
