exit2 Posted 25 April, 2009 Share Posted 25 April, 2009 I seem to remember a thread on one of the old boards when everyone was boasting about mementoes the stole from the Dell, a lot of posters were quite proud of the fact that they had their seat. Slightly different!
StuRomseySaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Share Posted 25 April, 2009 To be fair, I nicked loads from The Dell, even went back there with a ladder and toolbox in the evening to nick even more, then nicked even more at the 'Last Dinner at The Dell' I would have happily taken something today if I was there, although I would probably taken it round to reception for them to look after until Monday. Utter ******s, the majority of you, and you've got exactly what you deserved. Praise the lord for the decent ones... Nineteen Canteen Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 I was only speaking from what I saw and my actions - I never saw the crossbar go. The pitch was going to be relaid anyway so disregard that. As I said we asked if it was ok to take our bit as it was propped up against the wall. I do not and will not condone wanton vandalism but as usual on here there are some way over the top comments - many of those like myself have contributed thousands of pounds in the past and will in the future. With respect contribution past, present or future is no defence for vandalism and theft no matter how petty and irrelevent you may deem it. The fact the club is on its knees and you can surely appreciate the anger of many fans and you'll be hard pressed to argue it's not counterproductive to those bucket collections and donations. How much does it cost to relay a pitch? From where I stood looked good enough for League 1.

As I have said I do not condone it at all and fully understand any contribution past and present guarantees nothing and accept some fans anger. I do not agree with being called chav scum especiallly as at that time we did ask if it was Ok for him to have it so at that time I did not consider it theft. At no time did we participate in vandalism!! I fully intend to make further contributions to this club and the appeal to recompense.
Clapham Saint Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 What a complete over the top moron you are...have you not considered for one minute those fans also contributed many thousands of pounds to the club? Many of the things that were taken were just old bits of perspex that cost less than a £5. My lad picked up one that was leaning against the wall of the concourse and asked the steward if it was Ok and he said its fine. If any perspective buyer was put off by that then he can bugger off anyway as if he is that lily livered he is not any use for the battle ahead. So taking a piece of perspex sends the club over the edge and nothing to do with shocking managerial decisions over the last few years ..brilliant. Did you confront any of them or are you just brave hero to hide behind your PC calling them SCUM? The cost of a peice of perspex is irrelevant. The fact that you consider it to be ok because you consider the cost to be low is more shocking to me. There is probably some cheap stuff knocking around in your front room. Does that make it ok for me to break in and trash it? How do "managerial decisions over the last few years" have anything to do with the acceptability of crime? I was shocked at the skate ***ts encoraging their kids to throw bricks when we played them a few years back at nottarf crap and I have the same reaction to you. Gingeletiss Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 How badly damaged is the pitch? Wouldn't want to lose the money we're getting for hiring it out before it gets relaid. sir woody Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 I am utterly ashamed to be associated with the moronic thieving SCUM.......YES thats what YOU are if you participated in the wanton vandelism of St Marys'after the match just to get yourselves a "souvenier" of your day out!! YOU fill me with absoloute disgust and repulsion at having shared that ground with you today! SHAME on you! I saw mindless thugs ripping down advertising hordings ......for Gods sake what good is that going to be to anybody? I saw a grandfather that should be demonstrating some standards of decency to his grandson of about 5 years of age STEALING a piece of the Saints badge from around the perimiter of the pitch. As I entered the stadium today, I was confronted by a group of collectors with buckets HELPING to try and do some good by collecting every penny to keep this club afloat whilst the THIEVING SCUM at the end did their best to TAKE EVEN MORE from a club that does not need their attendance in future, as they are not TRUE FANS they are as bad as the inbred lot from down the road! What made all of this worse to stomach was the stewards and police standing around doing nothing to stop real crimes of criminal damage and theft taking place right under their noses! Any new owner thinking of helping to save us may well now think again! If no new owner comes forward I hope you SCUM that STOLE from Southampton Football club rest comfortably knowing that you helped send this club over the edge.:mad::mad:[-X Is that all your worried about !! - **** me man , get a grip
brongal Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 If anyone who had supported the club for years was going to buy the club then they would have made themselves known some time ago. Why would anyone looking at investment as a business decision put their money in to a club where the fans think its acceptable to invade the pitch when one of their own players is laying on the ground and then only to taunt the opposition. I thought it was disgraceful anyway.

WA**KER! HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF THE CLUBS PLIGHT? You are an utter disgrace! By the way there is no such thing as " a perspective buyer" I take it from your upbringing of, its ok to steal, you haven't a very good command of the English language either. A PROSPECTIVE BUYER is most probably what you are trying to say ......Didn't you call me a Moron? Apart from the profanities (though I understand and share the feelings that evoked them) I have to agree with the above. It is not what was stolen, but the principle that dishonesty is dishonesty no matter by what degree, whether small or large. Teaching children that it is alright to steal or be dishonest in any way is giving them a very poor start in life and is in my mind beyond the pale! As to being given permission to take something by "officials" it was not in their gift to give that "permission". They are guilty of aiding the theft and therefore have betrayed their employers trust! Edited 26 April, 2009 by Handyman

Because this year everytime I have been in the ground the pitch it seems has made playing football impossible. I would like to report it was normal grass. IMO people are going over the top with some comments on here, hopefully this time next year we will all be galvinised in our support for SFC. Give it to Ron, if most people read your posts they must have a picture of you as a level headed "good" fan. I have to own up to flicking the V's and doing the Nescafe wave to the Burnley fans and having a laugh. Hopefully they does not make me Chav scum. It doesn't make a difference if it was a small piece of plastic and a steward thought it was OK. The steward doesn't own any part of the stadium and as an adult you should know that he or she isn't in a position to OK theft. The size or importance of it doesn't matter either. Theft is theft. You get the society you deserve, these sort of actions are leading the next generation downhill. You should show a bit of resposibility and just say to your kid that it doesn't belong to you so you can't take it no matter what other people are doing or saying. It should be ****ing obvious.
