i see a lot of the moral behind the keyboard uber fans are on tonight.

did the same thing not happen last season against Shef Utd, only difference was the Sheffield fans did not throw a smoke bomb.

no excuse but everyone was young once

Oh yes. My mistake it's fine in that case.

Not only what has been mentioned but the club is short of cash and so called fans think it is a good idea to nick the club crest boards from round the pitch, I saw two or three people with them of the walk back to the car.

Advertising boards that are replaced every year!!! financial trouble mate haha its not affected by nicking of advertising boards.

Given that many on this thread consider the behaviour shameful let's just imagine the following comment from the 'pole position' consortium leader who was watching from the director's box today :

" I was shocked to witness the disgraceful violence at the end of today's match and thought that the throwing of missiles at innocent women and children in the away section was a thing of the dark old days ! I consider that my colleagues will not want to be associated with this sort of behaviour and have therefore decided to withdraw our offer unconditionally ! I do realise that SFC may well cease to exist because of this but we are a reputable group and cannot afford to be tarnished by criminal acts ! "

Hypothetical, I know but 'what if' ??

Morons !

Lets get some other facts in here shall we.

None of you super fans are moaning about the coach load of burnley that arrived in Eastleigh at 11.15 giving it large to a bus station full of mostly women and kids.

I dont see any of you super fans moaning about the coach load of burnley fans that then proceeded to walk off into eastleigh giving it large.

I do not see any of you super fans moaning about the dozen or so Burnley and later Pompey who made the mistake of looking for trouble outside the Plume before the game.

I do not see any of you super fans condoning the fact that there were a number of these said Skates in the Burnley end of which i counted 4 ejected after the complete ***** decided to sit there in his blue shirt.

I do not condone the throwing of bottles or coins at the end but some people on here need to take a reality check as i am sure in the photos there are even some super shirters involved.

A bit of calm reflection is called for. There was no riot, just loads of fans on the pitch and some of the chav section that seem to have attached themselves to Saints doing what chavs do on any Saturday of the year. Pretty pathetic IMO but it's simply a reflection of the make up of British society. I was actually more concerned for the safety of Wotton who was lying badly hurt while the invasion took place.

For what it's worth I'd be happy for much of the crowd to get on the pitch every game if it allows me the sort of quick exit from ground and car park and back up the A34 that I enjoyed yesterday. ;)

I thought I'd report on what happened since I had a pretty good view of it:

I sat right in the front of the Northam and about 10 minutes before the end a few fans started walking down to the front. If stewrds had sent then straight back there wouldn'y have been a problem. However they didn't so others started joining them At that point loads of stewards, police with a couple of dogs and a camera came out to guard the Northam. At the end of the game they were initially successful but because a lot of people had got through Kingsland there was nothing they could and they moved away to the Burnley fans. From what I saw a hundred or so (not good with guessing numbers but it appeared to be a lot) went straight to the Burnley fans and IMO started chucking a few things sat them including the flare. Most of the Saints fans just wandered around the pitch not really doing anything apart from a couple who climbed the goal. At this poit I thought sod it and joined the mob mentalilty and went on the pitch. I had a wander around, primarily to see who was in the directors box but couldn't see anyone. After about 5 minutes loads of people rushed away from the Burnley fans ad I heard someone say something about dogs. A this point I decided to leave. I don't recall any announcements asking asking people to get off the pitch.

With the 'numbers' that were around the Burnley fans, I can guess about maybe 50 people would have been actually 'up for it' if anything happened. The rest would have been kids or others standing around watching and generally just to watch what was happening.

Frankly, I don't give a flying f*** abut the Burnley fans - what I do care about is SFC & its fans. You need to take the reality check if you think what happened yesterday was acceptable.

The first guy on the piych was from the Kingsland, but then many were from the Northam who moved round.

You, along with thousand of others, who join in following the 'mob mentality' do not help the situation, as you provide cover (inadvertently) for those who do want to cause trouble. My guess wold be 200-250 people goading the Burnley fans, with only a handful intent on causing trouble, but you leave the police no option but to deal with a larger mob & is gets reported as such. Let's hope the FL are feeling leniant on this one.

Oh my god is that for real, never thought I would say this but I am seriously considering not supporting this club anymore it breaks my heart in this day and age that my club is associated with these morons, racist, mindless and heartless. I cant understand why they didnt use the dogs yesterday, there were there one minute and then the next seem to disappear. If the dogs had been used the pitch would have cleared in minutes.

Funny how none of the people who started the pitch invasion were wearing saints shirts.

Maybe they dont want to look like tossers.

....to someone who said the smoke bomb was thrown by a Burnely fan, it was definatly a saints fan it was just thrown back by Burnley.

So from this, you conclude that a large percentage of our support are tossers?

and also, I was watching from Itchen North and the smoke bomb was thrown by Burnley from what I saw.

Fair enough. I just saw the smoke the first time from when it had been thrown from the Burnley end so obviously seemed like it was from them.

Yes, agreed that Man Utd's away support is top quality and they're called Men In Black or whatever, so most of them wear casual clothing.

However, just because someone's wearing a replica shirt doesn't mean they're happy clappers and want to sit there and watch the game politely. For instance, I occasionally wear the shirt but still go to pretty much every home and away, and stand and sing, have banter with the opposing support during the game too, but I don't take it too far. The opinion of fans in replica shirts is pretty generic.

The Greasy spotty chav scum that I saw giving it "large" to the burnley fans could barely afford to buy a home shirt for the one game a year they bothered to attend I suspect. The kingsland corner was rammed yesturday with under 18's singing inane retarded songs. Think the best thing to come out of them was "la la la la la **** off...". Brilliant.

And think of the amount of plastics you see walking around the country wearing manu replica shirts every day of the year. I bet the aforementioned lowlifes are wearing there manu and chelsea shirts today.

Dunno why im getting so worked up, I just cant stand little chavs who think they are hard!!

In all honesty mate, there was probably actually about 20-50 people crowded around Burnley that would have actually kicked off. The rest were just kids or anyone watching, waiting around to see if anything was going to actually happen. The 'la la la la la la la - **** off' has been sung for us by ages, whenever the opposing fans sing their team name to that song.

If when the first people moved down they were sent straight back, yesthey would have gone back. If not they should have been made to do so. There were enough stewards at the start of this to do so.. I couldn't comment on Kingsland as I couldn't see it but if it was a simialr situation to Northam with people moving down then yesthey could quite have told people to get in their. I don't think I provided any cover for the trouble makers. There were neough cameras around yo catch them all and if they want to fine everyone who went onthe pitch I have no problem with that. It might even get a bit more momney for the club :)

Points deduction? Please, don't make me laugh!!!!

A few people invaded the pitch and goad the away fans, happens all the time.

I am not saying it's right, but calm down people.

By most of your reckoning half a dozen teams will be getting points deducted after today.

Wolves fans invaded the pitch at Barnsley... and confronted Barnsley fans... I wonder if they will get points deducted?

Quite right Mr Romsey, when exactly the same thing happened at Derby when they beat us the play offs i didn't hear anything about about them being docked points did you? By everyone on heres reckonings every team that finishes in the top 6 or bottom 6 of any league this season will all be starting next season minus 10 points. Should make life a lot easier for us next season when there are antoher 12 teams starting on minus 10 too!!

All this talk of fans clashing, fights with police, scum bans for life etc are absolute nonsense, did anyone actually see a punch thrown? I saw the whole thing and there was not one punch thrown. I cant believe we have got so many fans who make overreact to something of nothing calling for arrests and bans for life, its just pathetic, honestly, i've never been so embarassed to be a saints fan ;)

Just before the "Were the real fans, were the real fans" you can see one of SISA's committee members giving it large. "this is our fkucing pitch"

The muppet who filmed it should be easily recognizable with those hideous trainers on!

FWIW. I went on the pitch with my Daughter. we took a few pictures, stayed in the centre of the pitch. spoke to a few saints fans, then went home.

Watched that footage again I thought it was Comrade McMillan first time round . And now confirmed. Reminds me of Gerry Adams in his pre parlimentarion days winding up his foot soldiers before they went to commit bedlam etc.

I thought Clive Foley was briefly in that footage but i cannot be certain

Perhaps now people will understand what SISA are really about. No wonder Derry and co distanced themselves from them they other day.

The pratt who took the footage is so up him self claims to be 23 from Checzcheslovakia. (Cant be bothered to check the spelling) looks more like 18.

Some interesting footage on You Tube from him Likes to be where the action is!!!! There is even a link to the BNP so that will account for the racist language he used in the footage yesterday

He invaded the pitch last year. Must be his favourite trainers as he wore them last year as well.

I think there are two issues here.

The first, fans invading the pitch and acting like morons (throwing missiles at the away fans, damaging the fixtures and fittings of the ground etc...). That is something that many of us on here would probably disagree with.

The second issue, walking on the pitch, taking a few photos and milling about is something that I think seems accepted at the end of season. With no real harm done.

I was dissapointed and annoyed with the first bunch of so called fans - the people who think it's acceptable to damage our ground, steal memorabillia and throw missiles at other fans.

I have no issue with the people who avoided the away fans and took the opportunity to maybe take a picture of their kids on the home bench for example.

There is a huge difference between the two. And anyone who justifies the first set of behavoiur because the police got the dogs out (four or five I counted) or acted aggressively are simply doing what school children do when they caught out doing something they shouldn't - find anything that will justify their actions. Police dogs, over zealous stewards, "aggressive" police tactics, poor season, suffering long time fan etc... none of these are excuses for the first set of behaviour.

Surely anyone on here who says that those of us who are complaining about the first set of behaviour are "over reacting" can see how we think that some of our fans "over reacted" in their beaviour yesterday?

Maybe it would have been different with we had players who could take penalties and set pieces properly? I guess, we'll have to wait a while for that. Here's hoping that this spat will be forgotten, hopefully not repeated, and we get some good news soon.

League One here we come!

The guy who filmed that you tube video is a complete idiot. I am embarrassed that through SFC I am associated with him. I drove home last night with fans from other Clubs calling 606 to wish us the best as we were a family Club. That footage is totally at odds with the values of our football club.

I agree that the "fans" that gathered at the away end were OTT. I dont get why they would take (more than) a seasons frustration out on their fans? Was it because there was no one else left to take it out on now Lowe has gone? These idiots were clearly looking to cause trouble.

Having attended a number of away games this season there is a nasty "youth" element of our Club that are going down looking for trouble. I witnessed it at Cardiff and Plymouth away and it has no place in football.

Just what has happened to Saints?

Link to comment

They're idiots, but then every club has them (derby away in the play offs?), i just didn't want people going over the top about this and blaming it all on saints fans. There were plenty on the pitch with no bad intentions at all, including kids, families and even blind people!

Personally i think it's a disgrace that the police had unmuzzled dogs out in a place where kids where

What is the point of a police dog with a muzzle on it? Particularly when it is there as a detterant on morons who go to football to fight - 'our ' so called 'fans' were only after one thing for what reason god only knows but we need to stamp down hard on these idiots - Yes we need people through the gate - no we don't need the morons back.

.. and beforeoyu start I'm know big fan of the ob - especially after they towed my van away yesterday for no apparent reason - but it looked to me like things could have turned pretty ugly over in that orner so it a dog without a muzzle makes the idiots involved think twice i reckon it was policed right!

All I can say is would you have wanted your young kid or wife/girlfriend at the match today?

I don't think so.

I was at the game with my little nipper and tbh the majority of what I saw going on was handbags. Not that I condone the intimidation that seemed to be aimed at the the Burnley fans, but get a grip, it wasn't exactly a return to the bad old days; the police didn't baton charge anyone from horseback.

Did I miss something? Did we win and get three points and manage to stay in the CCC. Because that would be the only reason to run onto the pitch and celebrate. I would have no problem with anyone doing that. Taking a photo or two, no big deal.

But for the turds that ran towards the Burnley fans and wanting a fight, the police action was wrong. They should have had 30 dogs, no muzzles and let them bite a few arses. That would have been worth watching.
