Matthew Le God Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Lets get our appeal ready for the league Mr Fry and start on 0 points
alpine_saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 (edited) Inevitable. -10 points next season in League 1 it is then. We did it to ourselves and got what we deserved. We blew it today big-time........ This game reflected events of the season to a tee. All fart and no shiit. The final proof that shoe-horning youth players that arent up to it into the team for economic purposes DOESNT WORK. Edited 25 April, 2009 by alpine_saint
redder freak Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Ten points behind top spot. Come on you reds!
Ohio Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 One bad buyer and we are truly finished. A good one, and we will be back stronger and better than ever. It's all about the buyers now.
maltasaints Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 No Thanks i'll accept -10 and a complete overhaul with fingers crossed a neew buyer. Than get even more points added on and still relegated. I will forget this season ever happened what a pile of complete dog ****. Thank f**k summers coming and totty will be everywhere.
saintjay77 Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 arse biscuits. i want to think that we will show some proper spirit next season and get promoted even with the -10 points next season but just cant see us showing anything other than a load of w@nk
Blanco Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 One bad buyer and we are truly finished. A good one, and we will be back stronger and better than ever. It's all about the buyers now. True
Runaway Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 McGoldrick... FFS... why don't we have any decent penalty takers anymore?? Surely Saejis could have thundered it in??
alpine_saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 One bad buyer and we are truly finished. A good one, and we will be back stronger and better than ever. It's all about the buyers now. Sounds about right.
Charlie2008 Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Well that's that then. Regroup and prepare for a season in the third tier! I can't believe it has come to this. COYR
Plumstead_Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 B*gger. I suppose it saves being gutted next weekend, but another week of hope would have been nice.
fanimal Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Like torture. And you know more to come.....Anyone want a Forest ticket?
crouchi Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Probably worse to come yet - liquidation or more points deducted - Happy days!
alpine_saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Arizona, The title - we were relegated anyway. The hurtful thing to come out of this is starting next season on -10.
Under Weststand Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 What a disappointing second half. We put ourselves in a good position once again & then shot ourselves in the foot. All went wrong with that penalty miss and the team then went to pieces. End of the day we are just not good enough & got what we deserved. We have no leaders on or off the pitch clear evidence we need a clean sweep throughout the club. and unless we get an owner that can give us a chance to trade a few players in, with a -10 start next year we will struggle with this shower of sh**e.
saint lard Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 All getting a bit messy inside St Mary's,Police struggling to contain fans throwing objects at each other, including smoke bomb and bottles according to Solent
Arizona Posted 25 April, 2009 Author Posted 25 April, 2009 Probably worse to come yet - liquidation or more points deducted - Happy days! That is based on nothing other than paranoia. We are in advanced talks with several parties. There is no reason for us to have a further points deduction and wont be getting liquidated once a deal is finalised.
It's There Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Arizona, The title - we were relegated anyway. The hurtful thing to come out of this is starting next season on -10. Agreed! In many ways I'm glad(ish) we didn't take it to the last game of the season. We've been poor virtually throughout and deserved to go down , as our position dictates. Howver, it's really depressing to be -10 before we kick a ball. We should appeal now!!
egreog Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Totally expected......McGoldrick puts the icing on the cake with the usual lame penalty attempt..........the guy is simply synonymous with the whole sorry set up.......... get rid of management and players and start again......... assuming someone with pots of cash is prepared to bale out this sorry heap
adysaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 McGoldrick... FFS... why don't we have any decent penalty takers anymore?? Surely Saejis could have thundered it in?? Not the first time either. I think you should take them 'till you miss. If you miss - you don't take again. I remember the MLT days where you never worried about penalties. How many we missed this season? 4 at least.
LVSaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Already down as a successful appeal would surely depend on the other teams turning their vote the other way? But the prospect of starting with -10 is sickening. Look now towards a stable buyer with a bit of spending money to at least get us a tried manager.
Yate Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 What a ****e season. We were/are so crap it's stupid. The dutch experiment was the worst decision ever and it has cost us dearly. -10pts being mid table would have been fine but because of manager who has managed at an english equivilent of the conference or below, we never gave ourselves a chance. A complete overhaul is needed, if this is not done then League Two beckons and our Saturdays will be even more miserable. Thanks for nothing Rupert Lowe.
Leicestersaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 The league table does not lie at this stage of the season. We have been so very poor - just look at the number of goals we have conceded. There has been so much self delusion going on for months - and it is continuing with all sorts of very wishful thinking. I never ever thoguht it would come to this. What a total disaster Lowe and co have been.
70's Mike Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Just got home, game summed up whole season at home. unable to get 2 in front, whilst DMG missed penalty i was more upset by BWP attempt when one on one with their keeper. In the end KD saved us again and must have earned half of our points on his own. And how come he never got presented with the player of the year award just a mention over the pa system.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Lets get our appeal ready for the league Mr Fry and start on 0 points Might as well save the money, it won't work anyway. Result today? very much as expected, in fact it was quite decent, Burnley are* a good side, perhaps not today because they just needed a point .
geoffnut Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Get rid of the lot of them and start with new faces next season if there is one. GET RID OF THE MANAGER NOW or nobody will buy this club,
Leslie Charteris Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Onwards and upwards! Now get some new owners in with a bit of football nous, a manager who can galvanize a team and a few wins to knock off the 10 point deduction. Wouldn't it be great to win more matches than we lose in a season - that hasn't happened too often in recent times. And well done Bournemouth for avoiding the drop even with a -17 start.
70's Mike Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Get rid of the lot of them and start with new faces next season if there is one. GET RID OF THE MANAGER NOW or nobody will buy this club, why if this lot had played all season we would have , imo, survived. the problem was we played the first half of the season as an experiment if JPS had been their rather than some of the others we tried, if Gillett had been there. but we had the dutch experiment of sideways football
ericofarabia Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Ten points behind top spot. Come on you reds! And 46 games to make up the difference, we will walk this league LOLAGE In a way it is a relief to go into next week without the pain and anguish of going thru the roller coaster of emotions not only worrying about our game but 2 others maybe . Kudos to anybody who goes up to Forest next week, have a fun day and hope for a similar result to the Everton away 3-0 win back in the 70's when we got relegated from Div 1. LOl at Dave Armstrong having a dig at the stewards Here's to hoping we have a club next season
Mr X Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Onwards and upwards! Being thick but why did they get an extra seven point deduction?
Window Cleaner Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 And 46 games to make up the difference, we will walk this league LOLAGE Not so much , it could be that the last play-off place in that league requires a staggering 80 points this year, imagine that we'd need 90 or more. P46 W25 D15 L6 sort of scale.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 I'm glad this season is effectivley over. I look forward to a fresh new SFC under new management, new board, new squad, fresh impetus. I want a manager who will throw down the gauntlet of a 10 point deduction to his players, and spur them on to overcome this and take us on to a brighter tomorrow. COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!!!!!!
SW11_Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Inevitable. Which was patently obvious to all - apart from one toffy-nosed egotistical arrogant ****, who not only failed to see that, but also decided to put a couple of Dutch non-league no hopers in charge of the whole ridiculous circus. Congratulations Agent Lowe, your mission is accomplished...
Saint 76er Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 So the last rites of the hideous Lowe regime are played out. What a legacy that crazy man has left us. What an utterly bereft shambles of a once great(ish) club he has created in less than a year. Crouch appeared to have finally sorted things out and then all the joy after the final match, but one man had to ruin it all. How can things have become so ruinous both on and off the pitch in so short a space of time? Instead of punishing the innocent why on earth don't the FL chase up the idiots who do these things to clubs and drive them out of the game for good. It scarcely seems credible but Lowe could simply turn up and do the same thing to us again or to some other poor unfortunates. The FL want to hammer us but couldn't give a sh*t about the real culprit. Well hopefully this really is the last rites and that something good can be reincarnated for next season with quality new owners who actually understand both the football and business worlds, no more chancers please.... :(
thorpie the sinner Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Incy or Boothroyd could fit that bill!!! we still need to find the elusive buyer though, hope that doesn't go down the ****ter like everything else this season!
Window Cleaner Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Being thick but why did they get an extra seven point deduction? Didn't, they got -10 and then -17 I think, jiggery pokery, multiple administrations, failing to agree terms with creditors and all that stuff. Probably was -15 but the FL probable gave them a couple extra for LLS.
Mr X Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Didn't, they got -10 and then -17 I think, jiggery pokery, multiple administrations, failing to agree terms with creditors and all that stuff. scotty Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 B*gger. I suppose it saves being gutted next weekend, but another week of hope would have been nice. Thats the psychology behind the national lottery, right there.
VectisSaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Which was patently obvious to all - apart from one toffy-nosed egotistical arrogant ****, who not only failed to see that, but also decided to put a couple of Dutch non-league no hopers in charge of the whole ridiculous circus. Congratulations Agent Lowe, your mission is accomplished... There were plenty of others on here who also thought it was a good idea, seem to have gone rather quiet lately though. What a complete and utter waste of a season, all brought about by Wilde and Lowe, and their complete lack of understanding of football. Thank God they are gone, lets just hope that it stays that way and they never darken our doors again. Sad thing is that despite the FL punishment, Wilde and Lowe get away with nothing other than a hole in their pocket, while true supporters have to put up with the results.
um pahars Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 An enjoyable game, some passion, some good things and a few normal bad things. Off to a flyer and looked the better team, should have probably extended our lead, but also have Davis to thank for two very good saves (one looked outstanding). Probably deserved to win, but not being able to close a game out has cost us again. Player ratings Davis - 8 - Some outstanding saves and generally a pretty good all round performance James - 7 - Played really well and looked good going forwards, but then prone to some very poor errors (one should have cost us a goal) Perry - 8 - A very inspriing performance and read the game superbly. Saeijs - 6 - Got stuck in, but gave away another needless penalty and sometimes guilty of jumping in Surman - 7 - A decent perfromance (best for a while). Pushed on quite a bit which helped us. Lallana - 6 - A bit of an enigma, in that he looks as though he has it, but just struggles to get a hold of the game Wotton - 6- Tries his best, gives his all but always half a second too late. Gillett - 8 - For someone I don't rate he really won me over today. Got involved, added some bite and knocked the ball around well. DMG - 5 - I know he scored, but he also missed a penalty, gave away possession, didn't react fast enough and just not doing it for me. BWP - 6 - He just isn't up to it. He's a George Lawrence type player who confuses himself as much as he confuses the opposition. Euell - 8.5 - Ran tirelessly, got stuck in, out himself aboutm never gave up and showed his experience and guile throughout. Subs: Saga - 6 - Didn't really do anything Smith - 5 - Saw alot of the ball, did the hard stuff but couldn't do the simple stuff. Schneiderlin - 6 - Only on for a couple of mins
Window Cleaner Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Start preparing for the new season now. COYR Davis, james, perry, size, mills, thompson, wotton, gillet, mclaggon, white, paterson. Need better strikers than that I'm afraid. No more Wotton either thanks, Perry may be too old for League 1 next year. We need 3 or 4 players minimum.
Cricketphilly Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 It's not League 1, it's the bloody 3rd Division!
