mynameisthehulk Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 IF we still exist next season, how many games do people think it will take us to "break even"? I am going for an optimistic 4 games
stevegrant Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 None. We'll win our two remaining games with the pressure off so the 10 points will be taken off this season.
Paul Chuckle Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 We are always **** starters. I will go with 8 games Steve love your opptimism :-)
krissyboy31 Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 None. We'll win our two remaining games with the pressure off so the 10 points will be taken off this season. I'd like to think so but even with my new positive persona I can't see it. I'll go 5.
red and white saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 i honestly think we will win the last two now if we hadnt had a points deduction we would of been lucky to get a point from the last two
Viking Warrior Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Depends if we get charlton and Norwich in the opening games but I would say 6 games
Mole Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 It's far too early to say. With our current sqaud i'd expect us to drop into League 2 without the points deduction, but i expect big changes and hopefully a manager that can motivate.
Deano6 Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 We'll do a deal with Forest where they let us beat them so we don't have to start on -10, then get the decision overturned and stay up at their expense!

Really funny if that happened. They couldn't even complain, as they would be guilty of match fixing too.

egreog Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Probably about 10 games at least........... still bottom at Xmas by about 6 points and go down to League 2.......unless a benefactor with more money than sense pitches up!
alpine_saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 I reckon the FL will not deduct more points. They've been seen to act, and they are on shaky ground anyway. I'm going to assume we get new owners, and new manager and a player clear-out and fresh blood brought in. So, give a couple of games to gel (though it would be nice to think we can have a proper pre-season for once), I reckon 6 or 7 games to clear the negative points. But it really depends on how long the new owners take to emerge. I would hope the two serious parties have sounded an experienced manager out already........
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 This is my theory. We win the first four games. And enter the fifth game on the grand total of 2 points. This is normally how many points we have accrued after five games, anyway. But with 22k ST holders and regular crowds of 29k, we suddenly catch fire and under our brilliant new English manager and board who have ENERGISED and above all ENGAGED the fans, we win the fecking league losing only three times - and all those at home in December.
Professor Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 If the club survives to play in Div 1, we have no idea what the squad will look like. The current team are not good enough for the CCC so there is no certainty as to how well they would perform in Div 1, but half of them may not be here anyway. Is that depressing enough.......

Strangely, enough I find that quite encouraging... Edited 25 April, 2009 by Whitey Grandad
jjsaint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 I am predicting a mid-table finish for League 1 next year for a 10 pt deduction.
