alpine_saint Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 Someone send Luker an e-mail if you have his address. In my opinion, its pretty poor form of the club (again) not to post a note on the OS or the Echo about the number of disadvantaged kids who had an afternoon out thanks to our charity. I hope the cyncial side of me that thinks the club actually did sod-all with the donated tickets is wrong...
Belgiansaint Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 I was very happy to be able to ring the club on Saturday morning and donate a ticket. I'd gladly do it again if I get the opportunity. I think I even could make it a personal permanent scheme (i.e. foster a kid's Sat afternoon at Saints if the club survive). Thanks to the forum member (name eludes me and I don't really have the time to browse the whole thread) who gave me the phone number.
saints_is_the_south Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 (edited) Spoken to David Luker this morning, the donation scheme raised just under £2k so 66 donations at £30 for adult/child pair = 132 extra people in the ground. Not a massive figure not bad considering it only got running on Friday afternoon but £2k will atleast pay some of the stewards wages on Saturday so well done to all.
