Amesbury Saint Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 can there by any, other than having no spare money?
hypochondriac Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 I can't go because I already booked a thing away. Luckily I already bought my season ticket so I have made my financial contribution.
hypochondriac Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 so you already bought your ticket. Could have bought another
Mole Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 Going to Forest next week instead, but i wish i wasn't.
The Milkybarkid Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 I'm off to Forest next week. It's my gf's birthday on Sunday so I promised her a day out in London, show, shopping, that sort of stuff..... I'm kind of relieved, in a way....
Saint Paul C Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 If someone can pick up the cost of a flight from Brisbane, I'll be there. Cheers, Paul.
Nexstar Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Already going as I have a ST, but plan to get my money back for forest tickets as i've had enough and don't particularly want to spend £30 on it.
Greedyfly Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 If someone can pick up the cost of a flight from Brisbane, I'll be there. Cheers, Paul. And if Saint Paul C doesnt mind swinging past Sydney on his way...I'll be there too.
lordswoodsaints Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 the club took my money for my season tickets and spunked it up the wall before the end of the season.
maltasaints Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Live in Malta. On a serious note im gonna try and get my ass over there as much as possible next season even if it is too see Yoevil. SFC Forever
Ken Tone Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Going to Forest next week instead, but i wish i wasn't. Good on you for that, but it is worth remembering that all the away ticket money goes to the away club (another big club rule change carve up a few years back), so going to forest does nothing for saints financially. Not knocking you; no doubt you have good reasons for not going to the home game, but if anyone else is wavering.... K.
SaintDonkey Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Bought myself and my brother tickets in the Terry Paine suite. If it's gonna be the last match at Saint Mary's I want to go out in style.
NickG Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 I'm off to Forest next week. It's my gf's birthday on Sunday so I promised her a day out in London, show, shopping, that sort of stuff..... I'm kind of relieved, in a way.... London shops open on Sunday.
Mr saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 I'm having to leave at 6am to get there in the morning but I'm still going. Can't believe how poor ticket sales have been so far.
eelpie Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Who would want to stay away? It's like walking out of the film 'Terminator' before the end.

Evil Monkey Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 There aint no excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So there is an excuse?
Junior Mullet Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Stag do - will be in Bournemouth watching the Cherries instead.
Sheaf Saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 MY excuses... 1. I live 200 miles away and a 7 hour round trip for a game of football, on top of the fuel cost, is not feasible for me. 2. I was made redundant a while back and I'm currently doing some crap temp work at not much more than minimum wage in order to make sure my mortgage gets paid and I have food on the table. A game of football, even one as important as tomorrow's at SMS, is waaaaaaaay down my list of priorities. 3. I have a gig in Leeds tomorrow night which I cannot cancel, will be earning money from, and have been looking forward to for ages. I wish I could be there to play my part, but I just can't.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Who would want to stay away? It's like walking out of the film 'Terminator' before the end. LOL! or perhaps 'Titanic' ? (I dont want to spoil it for anyone but the ship sinks in the end).
eelpie Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 traffic can be bad on Northam bridge! That's the Kingsland Stand leaving early.

Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Currently top of my fantasy football league and prefer to watch the points roll in with Jeff Stelling and Le Tiss. Also flying to Korea at 9pm

Seriously - if you have the ticket for Forest in your hands I know a couple of people that would be interested in taking it off your hands - PM me if your serious.
Arizona Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Location is my excuse too, but I am driving down for the Forest game. Looking forward to seeing it in a strange, Christians being fed to the Lions, kinda way.
whizzpop Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Have a wedding in Guildford to go to which I've known about for a year (when things were different), so cannot get out of it.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Anyone staying away because of Wotte and the impact he's having on the team out of interest?
bigchrisy Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 Anyone staying away because of Wotte and the impact he's having on the team out of interest? To be honest has Wotte done a lot wrong? He's working with one of the worst squads in the league so theres not a lot more he can do. COYR

southamptonfclegend Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 what's the point? points 1. we need the points so we get the deduction this season and don't start league 1 with -10 2. we need to get a buyer, therefore more fans the better showing our potential 3. it could be our last ever home game 4. what else are you going to do? go to Ikea?

red&white56 Posted 24 April, 2009 Posted 24 April, 2009 No excuse - we're turning up because we are SOUTHAMPTON fans! In bad times true fans support their club, that's when when we needed the most. I coming with my Nipper and we'll be in Northam corner support the SAINTS !
Amesbury Saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Author Posted 24 April, 2009 the original question was about buying a ticket, not about going.
Jonnyboy Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 No one should feel obliged to go tomorrow no matter what Crouch or any other **** says...theyve bled the fans dry. That said I will probably go...

Bushey Saint Posted 25 April, 2009 Posted 25 April, 2009 Flying back to Afghanistan today so no, I won't be going, I have bigger things on my mind. Even so I might have bought a ticket if the god awful ticket office database hadn't refused to recognize me despite being a ST holder for four of the last seven years.
