Saintleigh Posted 23 April, 2009 Share Posted 23 April, 2009 Just let him get on with getting a buyer and leave the side show to someone else. But this is his job. He is essentially a second hand car (club) salesman and is trying to get the best possible price for the club. As I understand it, he (Begbie Traynors) has been appointed by the creditors to act on their behalf and secure as much money as possible to offset the debts as possible. A Championship Club is worth more than a League 1 Club and one hell of a lot more than a League 1 Club starting the season on -10 points. Let him carry on in my opinion - he seems to be the most eloquent person I have heard speaking "from" the club in a long time.

Kadeem Hardison Posted 23 April, 2009 Share Posted 23 April, 2009 I like Mark Fry. I suggest we appoint him as Chairman. I am happy to have a 10 point hit at the beginning of every season just to have him in charge of our club. david in sweden Posted 23 April, 2009 Share Posted 23 April, 2009 now Alan Whitehead! devastating news, underlines what we have to do now, make sure club can come out of administration as soon as possible with owners sound financial basis for the future ABSOLUTELY RIGHT Nick, but Mark Fry's position is that THE CLUB is not in administration, it's the holding company ! If he is correct legally speaking (and he seems pretty confident) then we shouldn't use the " A word" when speaking about the club.

benjii Posted 23 April, 2009 Share Posted 23 April, 2009 Due Diligence" is a legal term which means, essentially, to make sure that all the facts regarding the company that you intend to invest in are available and have been independently verified. In some respects, it is very similar to an audit. All the documents of the company are assembled and reviewed, the management is interviewed and a team of financial experts, lawyers and accountants descends on the business to analyze it. (At least, that's what happens with it is a large business). The goal of due diligence is simple: Learn as much as possible about this particular business and the industry. Particularly in a soft economy, a little due diligence is worth the effort, and it usually can be done in a few short hours. Like prevention, an ounce of due diligence is worth a pound of cure. Even if you're confident that the business or project you intend to invest in is legit and capable of living up to its promises, a little due diligence will help you understand their unique nature and allow you to better understand what you're getting into. There was a time not so long ago when a law firm would have to use an "information specialist" to find this information, or in extreme cases, hire a "corporate spy" to dig up the most sensitive competitive business information. But today, with so much business, legal and news information available on the Internet, getting this kind of "business intelligence" is infinitely easier. This is true even in Panama. To locate company background and financial information via the Internet follow these steps: Where did you paste this shower of guff from?

Viking Warrior Posted 23 April, 2009 Share Posted 23 April, 2009 I think Mark Fry is doing a very sound job I like his style and honesty Like me he im totally ****ed off with the FA/FL lord effing mawhinny. I bet he would pull a stunt like that if it was liverpool , Moan Utd , West Ham The way he's done it stinks. I have always belived the FL etc have despised Southampton FC. and Keith Wiseman ****ed them off alledgedly when he worked for them. So are they getting their own back on the club and our fans. I have a sneaking suspicion that when it goes to the High Court , the The FA will get their arses kicked big time.
