RL didn't want us to do a Leeds, ie spend lots of money getting success and then falling faster than a 10tonne Elephant off a cliff! I actually said by not 'doing a Leeds' we've ended up in the same position! ie broke and ****ed

No, but we still ended up broke, docked points and with two relegations. Same outcome. At least Leeds tried. What did tosser Lowe do? Budgeted for relegation - a self fulfilling prophecy if ever I saw one. Oh well, let's hope the team - whatever team we will now have - show some bottle in L1, get results, and we can get out of this mess. I'm in SE Asia. Distance doesn't soften the blow any.

Micky Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 Never do a 'Leeds'...!! You've got that totally wrong - if ever there was a time to do a Leeds Utd it is NOW...! League 1 they maybe, but they get crowds averaging near 25,000 weekly. We need to try to emulate it in order to get out of this mess - do you think we will...???
adysaint Posted 23 April, 2009 Posted 23 April, 2009 Leeds still made the Play Offs in their 1st season in League 1 with the -15 Penalty. So it is possible. 4 games to wipe off a -10.
