Frank's cousin Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 I'd pay to see the Dragon's Den presentation on this one! ... OK so let me get this straight, you have a business proposition that offers me 100% of your company for £1, has 27 million of debt, a shrinking customer base as the product being sold has reduced in quality to such a level that there are at least 50 competitors with a better product, sometimes as cheaper price points - and it would take at least 5-10 mil to improve said product, but then the opporating costs would be in excess of sales revenues? Did I hear that right? Hahahahahahahahahahah falls off chair....
Pancake Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Surely this article is wrong, after all the club is going to be saved by a load of anorakers shaking buckets about. Bring on the businessmen, and bring em on quick. Miaooow!

ottery st mary Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 7 Kevin Heaney.....Perspective. Property developer who moves into Cornwall and buys football ground and pumps a little money into club who then move through the leagues...Mainly ex Exeter, Torquay and Plymouth players. Managed by McARTHY EX Plymouth....They have won their league this season....Believe Totton, Bashley standard. Watched a few games at a ground situated next to County Hall....But the distance between Heaney and The County council is a thousand miles.... Believe Heaney is in the business to develop the football ground but the council not playing ball...A new ground was to be a problem who is paying etc and some ask why he took over a football club that he had no connection with.. Property developer...remember. But give him is due to the fans of Truro he is a star. No buildings going up or permission to develop in Cornwall area around this ground at Truro although prime site.... and of course not many buyers at mo.....Will he stay much longer when he is pumping money into club for little return.....Even at this level.. players wages etc and quite a few live 2 hours drive from ground. Does he still have his 20 million and does he really love football...That is what the Truro fans will ask in more earnest after the dust has settled after their promotion.. Next season costs will spiral with meagre gate receipts and reliance on social club etc. Talking to some of the fans at the ground a couple of weeks ago they are wondering if their particular bubble is going to burst.... Will he save Saints....Does he want to....Is there a building project in the area of the ground....Has he got the money for the fun of The Saints....... Like most other wealthy peeps on the list....I doubt it. We must pray harder folks.
Window Cleaner Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Prince Albert anyone? At least he's a football man, virtually runs Monaco. Saint 76er Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Monaco's richest Brits 2 Lord Laidlaw/Event organising Made his fortune from organising conferences. He owns two yachts, a jet and six vintage cars, including a 1937 Maserati that he races around Monte Carlo. Sorry guys but it's clearly this one... Conferences? Biggest conference venue in the south apparently and haute cuisine catering as well. Yachts? We love 'em, plenty of room to park his two. Jet? We love them too, airport nearby. We're even sponsored by an airline. Vintage cars? We've always loved them, Beaulieu is practically next door in fact. Welcome to our humble abode Lord Laidlaw.... Window Cleaner Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Article says that No 20, Jodie Schekter made most of his cash selling Buffalo milk??? from his 2,500 acre Hampshire farm. Did he take the odd visit to SMS when he wasn't down on the farm? This is Jodie Schechter the ex Ferrari driver, yapi by nationality? Buffalo milk is needed for Mozzarella cheese, mozzarella cheese is needed for pizzas although a lot of people put emmenthal on them instead. Did he take the odd visit to SMS when he wasn't down on the farm? Ha I doubt it! Most of his money is from selling shares in his previous company FATS - the laser one. I was actually on the farm and the business has still to take off properly. They have a butcher's on site though and do the best f**king pies ever there though. Also he'd more likely go to South Africa than Soton.

Saints Mad Si Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 What about Stelios, i think its just the sort of thing he would venture into. After all he took a gamble with easy jet and borrowed 30 million of the family and turned it into a 1.25 billion fortune! So we know he would take a chance on something. You never know. VectisSaint Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 http://www.laverstokepark.co.uk/about-laverstoke-park Someone needs to tell Mr Scheckter that those are pigs, not water buffalo. BTW its Jody, not Jodie. If we want him to buy our club (sorry plc) then I think we should learn to spell his name correctly. Jody Scheckter became infamous for causing one of the biggest accidents in Formula One history, after which there were demands that he should be banned from the sport. Sounds like the perfect successor for Rupert Lowe, one disaster followed by another.

Minsk Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Or rubbish footbal? Or rubbish football because of Lowe's idiotic 'Dutch total football with kids' experiment?
