I have been informed that the Goodies chip shop promotion got a good response from members of my team. iam a tad disappointed that the team did not invite me and so Im sulking.

Griffo Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Is there going to be a substitutions board? A P.A announcement for injury time and all that. Music? What's going to happen when the ball goes out of play because obviously no one will be in the stands apart from the Itchen so someone will have to run up in their boots to get it?

What's going to happen when the ball goes out of play because obviously no one will be in the stands apart from the Itchen so someone will have to run up in their boots to get it? well all the subs happen at half time so no-one will notice :-) but, what happens if one of the 90mins lot gets injured and cant carry on?
Griffo Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 well all the subs happen at half time so no-one will notice :-) but, what happens if one of the 90mins lot gets injured and cant carry on? Very good point there. The P.A announcement for time added on question still stands though . Anyway, when a sub has been made at half time there is still an announcement before kick off. Also, will the line ups be read out before the game too?
OldNick Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 well all the subs happen at half time so no-one will notice :-) but, what happens if one of the 90mins lot gets injured and cant carry on?when I played for a 45 mins game, I kept my kit on in case of being needed in 2nd half. Cramp sets in and all that. I have had permission to take over at any time and give you a dig

OldNick Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 take over what? any position in the team (short term sub)
JustMike Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 any position in the team (short term sub) ahhh i see lol Still, i am really looking forward to it, not just the football but meeting people from here too. Are we going for a beer after?
SFC Forever Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Are we allowed to turn up to watch? Could be more entertaining than some of the games I have seen this season.
Griffo Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Great, might just do that Only if you promise to support the away team. Nick H's flint army!
SFC Forever Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Only colour away shirt I dont have but yellow will do I guess.
Griffo Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Only colour away shirt I dont have but yellow will do I guess. Don't need to wear kit at all. Just cheer our goals and boo every time a home player is on the ball. You're in charge of the away fans in terms of getting songs going.

hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Surprise surprise, just over a week to go and a rather major headache has developed... Long story short, the club have sold all the adult-sized grey shirts, so there aren't any left for us (despite having reserved them a month ago, and the people involved at the club read the forum on a daily basis). As a result, they have offered us last season's yellow shirts instead. We're not in a position to turn this down for several reasons, so that's what we're going to have to go with. Needless to say, I'm not overly happy with the situation, but not a great deal I can do about it, sadly. Due to the timescales involved (and the lack of likelihood of acquiring yellow shorts/socks ), we'll stick with the grey shorts/socks combination for the away kit. Read this. You bunch of ******s. I am glad that our Gaffer is organising OUR **** up afterwards otherwise we'd end up drinking bloody cream soda. This wouldn't have happened on Rupert's watch. I don't know......amateurs
hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Panic over. Grey shirts found. Don't ask... Bugger, I was looking forward to the next 7 days off that lot moanng like *****es, it was already making me chuckle. Can't you get the club to sew up the armholes, just for a laugh Steve?

hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 ahhh i see lol Still, i am really looking forward to it, not just the football but meeting people from here too. Are we going for a beer after? I propose a Wetherspoons? Then back to phil's hotel room for a good roasting. I will be starving (I can't eat when nervous), unless Goodies can deliver chicken and chips to the dressing rooms post match.

You're in charge of the away fans in terms of getting songs going. Have we any songs yet? How about: Nickh runs Nickh ****s Dubai Phil's the cause of it La la la la, la la la, la la
dubai_phil Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 I DON'T BELIEVE IT... Those cheating bstds... I sent them the money through last week to buy up the entire stock of Grey shirts, i even promised the bloke in the taxi a PINT if he pulled it off, and the bl$#$@y Granty goes and finds another lot. My sponsors will be MOST unimpressed they'll think I spent their 200k on Bullfrogs Curses foiled again... (That was 200k Vietnamese Dong BTW not pounds) OK important update, got the Jaegermeister at the hole in the wall today so all being well home team are sorted. Bad news is had a disagreement with our World Class ringer (skateboarding not football that is) who said - you're going out for the night afterwards - in SOUTHAMPTON?? Nah I'll get the train home instead... Still a bit of work to do there but I reckon we'll be fine. Now all I have to do is hope that the club shop have a fat bstd sized track suit left for the warm up. Wonder if I should buy some boots or just use my golf shoes for walking around during the "slightly less cold-up"
OldNick Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Have we any songs yet? How about: Nickh runs Nickh ****s Dubai Phil's the cause of it La la la la, la la la, la laWe have our own one Kick the rodent in the nuts Kick the rodent in the nuts Kick the rodent in the nuts more of a chant than a song, but it will ring around the crowd. It may be more catchy if we say Hamster but rodent is probably more apt
OldNick Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 Nickh's flint army! (we hate phil) Good stuff. 1 nutmeg , 2 nutmeg , 3 nutmegs or 4 , Justmike is lying on the floor
hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 We can't read and we can't write but that don't really matter We're gonna **** all over you and cover you in 'batter'
dubai_phil Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 We don't need to stoop to their level with badly made up songs After all, we already know we are in a different class to them Business Class - all the way back The only down side is I get picked up from home at 2am your time Friday morning - yuk and take off at 5:30. Mind you champoo all the way Champoo - we only drink champoo, we only drink champoo, because the grey team are poo.. Oh sod it time for bed Who needs Fergie & Rafa when you have Nickh & DP?
hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Posted 29 April, 2009 He hates cattle class he hates cattle class That Dubai Philly He hates cattle class.

Imagine me as Lloyd James, without the spasticy arm waving when running. And I'm quicker then Theo* (Or was, a few years ago anyway. Age takes it's toll )

Scudamore Posted 30 April, 2009 Posted 30 April, 2009 If you actually want some information from people, it might not be a bad idea to only ask for the stuff you actually want rather than joking ? Oooh...get her. I think the final one was obviously a joke. However. Send me what you like. Hamster has gone for the following which seems like a good point of reference: Name DOB Place of Birth Height Weight - he needs to lose some Honours Position Photo Sock Size Now i'm not going to chase people all over the place for these bits of information as there's a week to go...and i can think of better things to do than wipe other peoples arses. As such i'll probably just do player profiles for those that want them. And then just request the basics from stevegrant for filling the rest of the page up if that's okay?

As you have asked nicely, yes, I suppose that is okay. I still want to know how you're gonna get those pieces of info for up to 30 players onto one sheet of A4 though ! Would Name & Username be better? You have a fair point about not chasing people, pointless, it's to their benefit in the end isn't it? I'll PM you shortly.
