OldNick Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 .........and they used to have proper boots in your day, didn't they? I was impressed how quickly you laced yours around the ankle a few times. Thise leather studs are hard to get these days as well.
stevegrant Posted 16 July, 2009 Author Posted 16 July, 2009 are you Tony Lynham??? No, I'll eventually deliver...
OldNick Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 No, I'll eventually deliver... Lol, that is a good'un
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Steve, is the delay due to the air brushing request from a few of us aware that the camera adds 10lbs ?
Smirking_Saint Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Knee ok, whens the next big match ?? Put my name down !!!!
OldNick Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Steve, is the delay due to the air brushing request from a few of us aware that the camera adds 10lbs ?Im telling everybody it adds 30lbs
OldNick Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 After this wait it better be good, Kevin Costners Waterworld took less time and obviously less money to get it done. Im told there are just a couple of legal technicalities holding things up and it will be there soon......Ive just had a PM from Granty could wee now forward the addresses of our intended old peoples home so they can forward it on when it is ready
ericofarabia Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Yes, apparently a recording of Sir Trevor doing News At Ten and telling us Maggie just got elected, it's been THAT long.. Ooops sorry forgot, I was banned from a computer tonight by EoA as been to a 70's night birthday party at Rock Bottoms dressed as Jimmy Hendrix with free booze and annoyingly got my photo in the National Press, Timeout and Hello Magazine (local version) under most wanted. How odd - dress up like a **** in a silly wig and become most wanted - damn, should have done that years ago LOL I did warn you .... feels like a bit of cut and paste from the Time Out and Ahlan may be in order http://www.timeoutdubai.com/gallery/9667-rock-bottom-party?image=16 Is that any way for the last SMS home team changing room winning manager to behave, a bare 10 months before a possible re match
OldNick Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 http://www.timeoutdubai.com/gallery/9667-rock-bottom-party?image=16 Is that any way for the last SMS home team changing room winning manager to behave, a bare 10 months before a possible re match Funnily enough he was wearing thqat blond wig in his pre match warm up for the Forum game
JustMike Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Funnily enough he was wearing thqat blond wig in his pre match warm up for the Forum game hahaha i can confirm he was wearing that in the changing room too
Griffo Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Since the game. 2 months of waiting for the DVD too..
OldNick Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Since the game. 2 months of waiting for the DVD too.. I'd forgotten about the DVD, was there going to be one.It seems so long ago that it had slipped my mind.
OldNick Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 hahaha i can confirm he was wearing that in the changing room too That must be the secret of winning , wear a blond wig in the changing rooms and then go and see the ref
dubai_phil Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Ah bless, there you have it. At long last nickh proves that he has eyesight problems by calling it a blonde wig so it proves he simply failed to see the ref's signal. It WAS a lousy job, but seeing as it meant we got free booze all night, I have no idea if it was worthwhile. Meanwhile, I reckon the forum match was almost as big a draw for the fans as the Hearts game is building up to be.... Don't worry nick - I'll bring the wigs for the rematch just for you & Hamster Tee hee shame EoA missed THAT photo with the blonde singer as well. Now that was worth looking a twerp for! (Oh and EoA use your wasta to get EK005 away on time tomorrow please, I have 2 pints of Marstons Pedigree waiting at LHR for me!) meanwhile back on subject ampshire, ampshire, ampshire.......repeat drunkenly oh and StevieG - would LOVE to collect my DVD from my mates place next weekend - cheers

Dubliners from 12:15 - 13:35 if you ain't driving Perhaps a recon mission to Nelson's to line up a full blooded assault to celebrate the arrival of the DVD later in the month!? Should still be open in 2015 Rotana Marina I think

OldNick Posted 27 July, 2009 Posted 27 July, 2009 thesun.nynews@globalinternit.com Just found this DVD scam rocks Saints Web Talk Site, our Southern England reporter tracked one of the victims down at the old peoples home he resides in, after months of waiting for the DVD of his performance in a local soccer game, Mr Fos1 the oldest living survivor spoke out. ' I am devastated, I gave so much so others could gain from my efforts.' he said 'I think it is awful that an old timer like me is on the end of such a scam.' After many efforts to call Mr Grant who was away in northern England, we got a reply from his agent and a statement given 'At this time Mr Grant will not be available for comment.'

JustMike Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I knew that, but you were part of my brave heroes on the night, who reminded me of Terry Butcher playing with a blood covered bandage around his head......well limping a lot Almost as old as him too ;-)

Baj Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I dont think he looks that old to be fair, just that he carries more aches and pains than an real old timer Drogbaj

OldNick Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 I have been told that the managers post match interviews are noit on the DVD, not happy then not happy now
stevegrant Posted 29 July, 2009 Author Posted 29 July, 2009 I've not posted them yet! They're all Jiffy-bagged up ready to go - just need to take them to the Post Office. PS I don't think I've got your address - couldn't find it when I was doing the labels last night...
Baj Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 To explain about the management interviews, here's a PM I just sent to NickH, im sure he wont mind me repeating it here. Basically the management interviews were on disc....2! Yes, we bought blanks, cases, labels etc... and when we FINALLy got the discs, it turns out there was a disc 2 with your interviews and 'highlights' of the match. what i was going to do is stick the interviews on youtube and say 'if you actually want the disk, send me a couple of quid to cover disk and p+p'. let me know what you want to do mate Baj so that kinda counts for everyone

I will myself buy one please...

OldNick Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 Yes I would like disc 2 as well please, let me know how to send the £2 DLTSend it to me, the DVD will get to you ...eventually, it semed as the scam worked the first time
The9 Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 (edited) I have been told that the managers post match interviews are not on the DVD, not happy then not happy now Saving it for the Gold Release First Anniversary Special Edition with alternative commentary I should think... which at this rate will be out before the original. Damn updates between reading and typing. I shan't be spending the extra £2, unless someone can confirm that my performance is discussed in great detail by the gaffer, for at least 15 minutes. OldNick Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 Saving it for the Gold Release First Anniversary Special Edition with alternative commentary I should think... which at this rate will be out before the original. Damn updates between reading and typing. I shan't be spending the extra £2, unless someone can confirm that my performance is discussed in great detail by the gaffer, for at least 15 minutes. I think it was only 14 minutes.....sadly 13 and a half were about your striking partners and the injuries they bravely took on. DrogBaj only has to see a packet of aspirins and he gets a headache. The DVD disc 2 seems a better option as it only has 'highlights' of the game and then the post match manager interviews. Less time of your life wasted watching and cringing at Hamsters 2 footed lunges, and Phils underhand tactics being employed.

Damn updates between reading and typing. I shan't be spending the extra £2, unless someone can confirm that my performance is discussed in great detail by the gaffer, for at least 15 minutes. I'd say the same but the only chance of that is if someone asked 'did you see what the idiot Foxy got up to in the pub afterwards' and then Big Phil started telling tales of misadventures in Dubai and making his good lady drink through a hangover
