Saintmike666 Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 Saints 3 Brum 2 (Last minute winner by DM!)
Master Bates Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 There's no Kelvin Davis Saints squad - (From) Bialkowski, Forecast, James, Thomas, Cork, Surman, Wotton, Gillett, Dyer, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Holmes, McGoldrick, John, Lancashire, White, Mills, Wright-Phillips.
saints_is_the_south Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 2-0 win. From that squad i guess the line up will be like this. Bialkowski James - Cork - Thomas - Surman Gillett - Schneiderlin White - Lallana - Holmes McGoldrick
LeBenali Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 Same as our league game, 2-1 defeat but some encouraging signs and good football.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 I think we'll lose 2-1, and everyone will slate JP again.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 Depends heavily on how strong Brums teams gonna be but i dont think well win: 0-2 Brum
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 It will all come together tonight, but with Bart in goal we will win 5-4.

Why no Kelvin ? Source?
SaintDonkey Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 No surprise with Kelvin's exclusion. WIthout him, Svensson or Perry we're going to be a bit lightweight at the back. But then I don't expect a win anway unless Birmingham really aren't up for it - they have a very good squad and I fully expect them to walk away with the Championship this season. Just play decent football and avoid humilation and I'll be happy. 3-1 to Brum.

Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 Saints to finally find their scoring boots. Saints 3 Brum 1
Thedelldays Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 I think we will lose 2-1 (again) I just cant see them not scoring, they have goals from all over their squad.. I can see us making 3-4 changes tonight...with other subs getting a run out.. and to be honest, I could not care if we go out tonght...Saturday is the biggy for me...
SNSUN Posted 26 August, 2008 Posted 26 August, 2008 1-1 with a loss on penalties, but I'd love to see us win it in normal time. I just don't see Birmingham wanting the Carling Cup enough. Perhaps it's just me...

Anyway see for yourselves http://www.blues.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10412~1375975,00.html As someone else said above a solid performance with neat fluent positive football will do me. I think the Blues will still be a little too strong for us but here's hoping. Saints 1 Brum 2
