My guess is that Forest draw with Blackpool Barnsley lose to Wolves Saints beat Burnley Last day Saints need to beat Forest Barnsley need to beat Plymouth 2 wins and we will be ok. sidthesquid Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 Simple now - we have to win both games & hope. Or just be realistic. Best news is Brighton might yet survive (& hopefully Yeovil despite tonight) for a good awayday next season

Best news is Brighton might yet survive (& hopefully Yeovil despite tonight) for a good awayday next season And Northampton too climbed out of the drop zone along with Brighton with Carlisle & Crewe replacing them. Northampton isn't going too far to go. Wycombe also won in League 2 and cemented their spot in the top 3 too.

Sad *****s. I've had skates saying the same thing to me all day. Its all just interweb ********. They say the same thin every year. Just thank them for their £24 quid and tell them that their money may mean the difference between us suriving and not. One day when the football cycle turns full tilt and we are thrashing them 1-4 at not arf crap to send them down we can look back and say it was the skates coming to see us get relegated that actually saved us and made this possible. Cheers.
.comsaint Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 Aren't we forgetting Norwich???Who are there last 3 games...... Home to Reading; away at Charlton final game. Norwich are at home to Reading on saturday. Reading guaranteed themselves a play-off place tonight by winning at Derby - so have nothing (effectively) to play for & will no doubt be saving themselves for the said play-offs. After all - as a player - you're not going to want to pick up an injury during the last two "meaningless" games are you? I was hoping Derby would win that game tonight - but then life is sometimes sh*t aint it!

CB Fry Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 Aren't we forgetting Norwich???Who are there last 3 games...... You remember we have to finish above two clubs, don't you? By the time we play Forest we won't be able to catch them. We're relegated, by the way.

cellone Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 I disagree CB Fry, this team has passion, deternination and skill and when they work out what field these attributes lie in it will all come together. There is no reason that all around us don't lose and we won't win both games by massive goal difference. Have faith

I heard that Reading would like to have the home advantage in the second leg from the skysports reporter. If that is the case, they will have to try and win the last two games. hamster Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 Reading can still get an automatic spot, and an awesome GD. They would surely rather play their hearts out now and go on their summer holidays, play-offs are a bit of a lottery anyway imo.

The problem is Reading away at Norwich is a Monday kick off, which Reading will definitely know can they still reach the automatic spot. It just shows how ****ing **** the Football League are. Why they still allow early and late kick off even one week before the final day??? Never mind, what is more important now is win the last home game. Agreed, f*cking stupid imo & unfair on those teams who have played on Saturday. I like the way they do it in Italy, the last 3 rounds all kick off at 3pm on a Sunday with no exceptions, its the only time the football authorities won't budge for the TV broadcasters. OldNick Posted 22 April, 2009 Share Posted 22 April, 2009 Cov were lucky to get that pen last night...maybe our luck is changing?whilst Blackstocks last minute goal was a turning point for Forest that may well be the one for Barnsley. We need 2 teams to fail, perhaps if Forest are safe last day it might work in our favour. So norwich and Barnsley lose, both us and forest win then hope a win at forset is enough for us on the last day.unlikely of course
