Dog Posted 20 April, 2009 Share Posted 20 April, 2009 What is the best fish to stick on a barbecue? I have to cook a bbq tomorrow and it has to be fish only as we are religous. P.S. Has anyone seen the new jar man?

hamster Posted 20 April, 2009 Share Posted 20 April, 2009 Prawns, either that or Mackerel. Lovely fish when barbecued, good and oily. Tip: If it smells fishy, it's already going off. Does s aligator count as a fish, cos that's nice?

St Landrew Posted 21 April, 2009 Share Posted 21 April, 2009 (edited) Monkfish That's a good call. Also any naturally oily fish is great on the barbeque. Mackeral for example; alsoran fish here, but loved on the continent. Superb eating. Try Milkfish from the Phillipines, but watch out for the tiny bones. Great flesh though. Tilapia is also excellent. Red Snapper too. And there's always Lobster if you really want to push the boat out. Just try something different from sausages and burgers. EDIT: BTW, I've eaten Crocodile steak. It tasted fishy - honest..! Fresh water..? Carp, but wash it well first overnight, otherwise it'll taste of the riverbed.
