COYRs They look a better bet...Already a connection in the family with good old Duke and all that family history. The Wife supports Exeter (comes from Crediton!!) It looks next season as though we will be playing each other - Could not have imagined this last season when they were in the BS Prem. The trouble is I think they have a better team than us. Do Tisdale and Perryman come as a package together or is Tisdale managing on his own with Perryman Director of Football
ottery st mary Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 (edited) The Wife supports Exeter (comes from Crediton!!) It looks next season as though we will be playing each other - Could not have imagined this last season when they were in the BS Prem. The trouble is I think they have a better team than us. Do Tisdale and Perryman come as a package together or is Tisdale managing on his own with Perryman Director of Football Perryman is a Director of Football + There before Tisdale by some time...Had a big hand in choosing him. They appear to get on very well. Tisdale is allowed to get on with all things Football/Team/coaching etc...But no doubt he has the support from Perryman if required. He is supported by an experienced Coach in John Yemms who has been around the non league scene. Tisdale being an ex Saints player has good grounding but his stint at Bath University....Manager/coach of Team Bath gave him a very good insight into Sports Science but also bringing in young pros who had been cast aside or minor injuries had hampered their progress....Seen The Grecians play a few times and training and he sure does look a good bet...Spoke to a few ex players who have nothing but praise......Worth a try for Saints....But Exeter have an ever improving side....Recent loan signing...Fleetwood...was a very astute signing by Tisdale...Natural goalscorer and if given chance will score for fun.. Tisdale always has several plans ready and varies the side including astute substitutions. Another Southampton lad McAllister plays up front/bench. Big strong striker who puts it about and if lost a little weight could be very good. Give us a call when you are down this way...Saints v Exeter next season...Not easy unless we get some reasonable signings. From cup game they have gone forwards whilst The mighty Saints......well you know. Edited 20 April, 2009 by ottery st mary spellin
saint_bert Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 Just to give an update to this. My Dad saw A Roller, Jeep and a Limo leaving SMS with a 4 motorbike police escort. They drove up over Northam bridge, with the road cleared by old bill. They carried on up to Bitterne and headed off towards the motorway. I have no reason to diss believe the old boy because hes a bit of a sceptic at the best of times. Whoever was in those cars were of big importance IMO.
Legod Third Coming Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 Mark Fry has got the decorators in then... Expalins the Polish plates... and there's me thinking it was a consortium from Krakow...

Escorting BWP to training these days are costing the club a fortune!
benjii Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 Princess Anne can sod right off. She knows even less about football than Rupert! If this is true I am astounded. What on earth is the administrator thinking? I'd rather have Souness, Rod Stewart or Cosimo Sarli any day.
ottery st mary Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 Why would she want to buy a football club? I think the discussion was along the lines to stable her horses at Staplewood and Jacksons farm....At one time St Marys Stadium( stables )was a possibility.

benjii Posted 20 April, 2009 Posted 20 April, 2009 Given Princess Anne's interest in acquiring Southampton Football Club, I would appreciate it if someone would update this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Anne thanks.
