JG Ballard....RIP....

Just heard that JG Ballard (Crash, Cocaine Nights) has died.

 

Crash the book was surreal (to say the least) but the film just did it no justice at all. Except that Holly Hunter was in it.

 

But Empire of the Sun was a fabulous film.

Very sad news. I liked the film version of Crash, but then again I've not read the book yet.

 

Empire of the Sun was a great read but its his urban sci-fi that I like the most, especially his short stories which have managed to stick in my drug ravaged brain.
