So waht is Lea Salonga doing now

Colm Wilkison was one of the singers I heard when I saw Les Mis for the second time.

I was pretty impressed with Martin Guerre as musical to.

also while we are on the subject I though both the saturday night fever set and Miss Saigon were brillian. loved the helicopter in Miss Saigon.

I do back stage amatuer dramatics set building and always inspired by the professional sets that are put together but you cannot beat the cleverness of the les mis barrier set. awesome

I saw Martin Guerre when it first opened but it didn`t last very long. The writers had a lot to live up to after "The Glums" and Miss Saigon. It was revised and was more successful when it came back.

The set to most modern musicals are pretty spectacular. I particularly was impressed with the Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady sets in London, but I do find the barricade tranformation in Les Mis breathtaking every time I see it.

Was watching South Park a few nights ago -

“Everyone at school is a ****ing idiot and if one

more person talks to me about that Susan Boyle

performance of Les Miserables I was going to puke

my balls out through my mouth." - Ike, South Park

Er, except she does. I don't watch the show but I've seen the clip and her voice sent shivers down my spine. As did that young Welsh lad incidentally.

Her looks have nothing to do with it. Judging people on looks is just plain silly. OK if she was trying to be a fashion model.

It's a bit like expecting every fashion model to have a superb singing voice, or every footballer to have a Masters degree in astrophysics.

It's a shame that people are so pre-occupied with looks that they can't see the wider picture. Symptomatic of a shallow society IMO.

Shurely you are referring to super model Ian Dowie?

Well, it was a fair chance that someone else had watched it...

Yeah, I saw HIGNFY and the comparison. I thought Frank Skinner did quite well as a host too. I notice all the comedians who host try not to laugh at Paul Merton's stuff, but when he really gets going they can't help themselves. Skinner's face was creased practically all of the time.

Yep that annoyed me most of all. They didn't even comment on her performance really, just about her last performance and how the world is watching. You look at the people with real talent like that dance group and the moronic British public just annoy me.

2 have to go thru! The dance group + who in your professional opinion?

Of course she would have gone through but the dance group were vastly superior and should have been voted through by the public. It's who I would have voted for had I voted. I just hope common sense prevails in the final though I doubt it.

I dont think it "Subo's" fault that the media have hyped her so much. With all the coverage she will now never live up to expectation.

Aren't you people getting a little too involved with all this Susan Boyle stuff..? Stop watching if it winds you up. I wish they would put a decent programme on the TV, instead of that twaddle, because my old Philips is going to last for decades at this rate of non-use.

BTW Dicko, this is the Lounge. Save your TMS comments.

I only watched her performance because I walked in when my girlfriend was watching it.
