Where to stay in New York

Im off to america for 3 weeks in june, Im having 4 days in new york

anybody know of some decent reasonably priced hotels/accomodation over

in NY?

Depends what your budget is. If you don't want to pay the hugely inflated Manhattan prices, i'd recommend Queens; Long Island City is the nearest district to Manhattan. The "La Quinta Inn" is very good and about half the price of an equal hotel 5 minutes away!

I have only been once and stayed at hotel Chandler which was basic but fine. Good central location near the Empire state on 5th ave. Google it.

So far its been to Hong Kong , Malta , Basra, Dublin , Singapore Malaya

Shetland and soon east and west coast of america

Stayed in the Hilton which was on the same block as time square, so very well located. Only thing is try staying in a room near the top of the building, otherwise you'll hear the underground.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn on West 35th St right opposite The Hotel Metro.

 

Great location, a few minutes walk from the Empire State, Macys, the Manhattan Mall and 5th avenue.

If you want somewhere a little quieter but still in manhattan then the Hilton Millenium is a good bet - got a pool too. It can be a bit humbling getting up in the morning and looking into the bowels of the Twin Towers site but very comfortable and easy to get around.

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Tribeca which was small but very clean and in the real NY area not the touristy bits.

Great deli opposite and decent bars around the hotel area.

Has a subway stop right outside and 15 mins from Times Square.
