Amesbury Saint Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 We are all rather low this evening. What will the club do to get to get us to turn out for the last home match of the season? As I can see it the only way is - news of the new owners - appointment of the new manager -
rocknrollman no2 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Beer and tits. Like the beer idea, but i dont think mentioning the boardmembers will help though.
qwertySFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 How about a rallying call from ex directors or even better SOS announce that they have brought the club for 65K and everyone needs to bring an even bigger bucket to pay BWP wages Should fill the ground I recon along with another pointless protest march demanding that the new board give free season tickets cos they "pledged" £5000 on an on line poll
OldNick Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Like the beer idea, but i dont think mentioning the boardmembers will help though. Lol
OldNick Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 how about everybody taking black flags to wave a farewell to football as we know it
saint63 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I shall be there next Saturday just to support the club and its future. They can put out the U18's for all I care. The bigger picture is what matters. We have to make sure that we are solvent for the close season and have a club for League One. If we don't get a decent crowd all of that is in jeopardy.

Cant see anyone putting it more clearly and accurately than that.

Unfortunatly , the WE have no control to make the club solvent won't make no difference if its 32000 or 1000 inside SMS , unless some one is prepared to take £30m debt up , just out of interest how do you see the "We have to" statement affecting the club ?
Huffton Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 HOw about people turn up in their numbers like we have for the last two games and show any potential buyers what a great investment opportunity the club is, with a massive support base despite the league position.

Yeah yeah yeah, all that old hat about showing potential buyers and all. The club needs a decent gate to survive, nothing to do with potential buyers. Why if no-one shows up Barclay's Bank might lose their cash and the administrators would have to wait for their money....bring it on.

Bring it on!
egreog Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Like many thousands, it makes sod all difference whether u turn up or not.......the team won't!!.......so why bother putting yourself through the angst of it all?..........any investor will know the vagaries of football and the potential is still there..........what happens in the last game won't change that one little bit!
docker-p Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I'll be there. Liberty Fraternity Equality. Together, brothers and sisters, the South will rise again.
Saint in Paradise Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Why not go just so in the years to come you can truthfully say that you were there when a football team called Saints played their last ever game at SMS before going into oblivion
hamster Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 How much would we save on appearance money, goalscoring and win bonuses (lol) and insurance if we played the U18's? I would like to point out that I for one (against by better judgement) still believe that we can do it. What else is there?
Whitey Grandad Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 How much would we save on appearance money, goalscoring and win bonuses (lol) and insurance if we played the U18's? We tried that and look where it got us.
hamster Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 We tried that and look where it got us. Exactly my point wg, at the start of the season it was not **** or bust, now it is and I can't give up hope and will scream myself hoarse next Saturday right up until the final whistle. After that who knows...
Deppo Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 Alphabeat are booked to play just before the game kicks off.
Ewell Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 I will be there. I am not going to miss an opportunity to tell the ****s that are currently adorning the red and white stripes what I actually think of them. The only one spared will be KD as the rest have underperformed and deserve a good send off from us fans. Also hopefully that will be the last we see of most of them in a Saints shirts again.
