Spades Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 which one will be our number 1 next season? surely we wont be spending any money on bringing in another goalkeeper? Id vote for Bialkowski, forecast remains one of the stupidest transfers of the season alongside pulis and gasmi
Saint_clark Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Definitely Bart, a new start is just what he needs as well as the rest of us.
badgerx16 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 forecast remains one of the stupidest transfers of the season alongside pulis and gasmi That's the 'spine' of next season's team
Spades Posted 18 April, 2009 Author Posted 18 April, 2009 That's the 'spine' of next season's team dont even joke
Matthew Le God Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Gasmi is a loan. No chance we will sign him in the summer.
Bailey Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Gasmi is a loan. No chance we will sign him in the summer. Gutted about this. He's made such an impact since he's been here!
BotleySaint Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Can't really say who will be in goal next year. First the club must survive. Depending on a new owner we might have money to buy a better keeper? So can't say weather forecast will be number one or not.
L1Minus10 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Bart, easily good enough and I can judge him having actually seen him play.
Badger Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Bart, easily good enough and I can judge him having actually seen him play. Is that having seen him play recently at any level ? or as a recollection of the player you hoped he might one day become ?
Smirking_Saint Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 This is a decision i'd hoped we'd never have to make. Equally, who in midfield, Gasmi or pulis ?? Who in defence ?? Lancashire or ali dia ?
oxfordshire_saint Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 I wouldn't write either off, both could do a job in League One. People are too quick to dismiss keepers, remember the stick Kelvin used to get? It's a confidence position and being made #1 next season would give that person confidence. As for which of the two of them I would choose, I would probably say Bart, he's got the physical attributes and I think he'd benefit from a regular run.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 Bart, easily good enough and I can judge him having actually seen him play. Unfortunately, Bart's level of ability is similar to your name...
um pahars Posted 19 April, 2009 Posted 19 April, 2009 I wouldn't write either off, both could do a job in League One. I think that's one thing that we will have to face up to, namely that this is the third tier of football and the quality and standard of players is nowhere as high as we're used to. I really don't rate Gillet & DMG, but I bet they can do a good job for us IF we go down. Going back to the OP I wouldn't have a problem with Bart and just haven't seen Forecast, so hard to judge, but he can't be far off. But I would also settle for Kelvin accepting a wage cut and staying.
