Matthew Le God Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 With our poor goal difference that result is pretty much relegation
saint_bert Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Thanks a bunch Saints. Another Saturday ruined
Under Weststand Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 The fat Lady is just finishing her last chorus before packing her bags & going home. Congratulations to Nigel Pearson on promotion. Good Call Lowelife on replacing him with JP & Wotte.
gaz Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I hope we survive as a club. Relegation is prety much a foregone conclusion. Saints until I die.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Pathetic capitulation... But to be fair as many have said the writing was on the wall when Lowe and Wilde appointed the dutch losers.
qwertySFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Apperantly have now secured their new store venue ...the old St Marys Stadium
saint_bert Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Just gotta pray that Barnsley lose that game in hand to maybe make a fight of it???
sunrise Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Shouldn't the thread title be 'post mortem'? Oh well, Brentford away will be a good match to go to next season, if we still exist by then.
St_Guido Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Sadly this just confirms what we all suspected - most of this team are a bunch of spineless, useless, losers.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Its all acedemic now, stay up by the skin of our teeth or go down, i dont care anymore as long as the club is still here next year. Thats the only thing that matters now.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 We are utter crap. We will be in League One,if we still have a club. Thanks a lot Wilde,Lowe and all those gutless boardroom hangers on. Anyone still think Lowe did a good job now?
Stu Man Do Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Most important is the Norwich tomorrow which could still keep us within 3 points of 2 teams albeit one with a game in hand and one with far superior goal difference granted its a long shot, I think Forest are ok now 5 points clear of us with 2 to play. Barnsley still have a ****ty run in as well. Now for some realism ... were down. Didnt even sound like we were interested today, a telling quote on Radio Hampshire "Smith doesnt even look up for this game today since he came on" particularily ****ed me off!
RedArmy Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 When we were 4th in 2003, I never thought I'd see us play in league one. F00king depressing. It's game over, bar the mathematics.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Well that's it - the team deserve to go down - the fans don't. But down we will go make no mistake - this squad and the managerial insistance on a stupid alien system of play week in week out regardless. Utter rubbish. Numb to it all....if the club folded it would allow me to move on...at the moment I feel trapped in a prison of despair. If any tosser comes on here and tries to claim Lowe did any good at this club, they should hang their heads in shame - he has killed the club.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 We are utter crap. We will be in League One,if we still have a club. Thanks a lot Wilde,Lowe and all those gutless boardroom hangers on. Anyone still think Lowe did a good job now? The canteen looney will be on later saying he did and blaming us fans again, have no fear.
qwertySFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Sadly this just confirms what we all suspected - most of this team are a bunch of spineless, useless, losers. Maybe they are, but surely the good super fans will be digging even deeper in their pockets next week for their wages ... come on lets fill the buckets for the lads, just one more time
Spudders Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 how f*cking ironic seeing the Lecister fans on sky sports news singing 'only one Nigel Pearson' as they celebrate promotion. We deserve to go down sadly.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Just gotta pray that Barnsley lose that game in hand to maybe make a fight of it??? Please tell me when this will happen? No evidence so far...
benjii Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Just gotta pray that Barnsley lose that game in hand to maybe make a fight of it??? I sincerely hope they win otherwise I may waste £150+ going to the last two matches.
hackedoff Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Let,s hope ( assuming the club survives ) that next season the new manager has a complete new team to work with. This side will go through the bottom of Div 1 quicker than a vindaloo through a baby, they really are THAT BAD.
Window Cleaner Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Just gotta pray that Barnsley lose that game in hand to maybe make a fight of it??? You've got to give it up St Bert, no use prolonging the misery, we were down when we lost against Charlton anyway, accept it and move on...if there's anywhere to move on to.
Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Essentially we are in the same position as Charlton were before todays games. Down, but not officially confirmed. There is no way we willwin the last 2 games with the dross on the field that we are playing with. No heart, no commitment, no desire. Even if we did win, we need the other teams to get no points which just isnt going to happen. Forest and Norwich have both showed a desire we lack to get out of the situation they are in. I only hope that now it's pretty much confirmed what division we will be in next year, a buyer gets sorted out asap. Clear all the crap out (including that useless w**ker financial director) and start again. I just prey that the tyre kickers are not wasting valuable time and getting in the way of any possible serious bid.

Spades Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I'm Completely devostated. Whilst iv expected relegation for the past 3-4 months, today has confirmed it for me. feeling completely and utterly numb now. How the **** can we go into such a big game without any fight? Its discraceful. Christ why would anyone want to buy into a club that goes about its business like that? If we are still around next season then we need a completely clean sweep, Most players will leave and we need to bring in passionate, hungry players that WANT to wear the badge, not players that 'WILL' wear the badge, as long as they get paid. ****ing **** weekend.
Saint_Jonny Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 None of us can say we are suprised..we are **** and were always ganna lose this one. We wont beat burnley next saturday - they are fighting for something good, as are forest, who look good to stay up now. We are down. So, just gotta hope someone comes in to rescue Southampton Football Club before its too late. League one is better than no league (sadly).

You'll have the Child Protection League onto you in a flash saying you suggested giving Vindaloos to babies, best to keep them on Madras until they're about 2.
J Bizzle Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I will be going next saturday just to shout abuse at the gutless *****s on the pitch and th dutch ***** on the sideline.
dubai_phil Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Well, we sure showed them didn't we. We sure walked this league.
hypochondriac Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 At least we will be the biggest club in league one if Leeds go up
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I personally can't wait for 19C's musings. His, along wth the dutchmans ramblings...

No one is going to ante up serious swans for us you know and that means a knocked together "consortium" of old lags
badgerx16 Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Maybe they are, but surely the good super fans will be digging even deeper in their pockets next week for their wages ... come on lets fill the buckets for the lads, just one more time I'll trail along behind the landaus on Blackpool prom, and the donkeys on the beach, and bring some full buckets with me next week
thorpie the sinner Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 all I found out from the radio was that we were spiritless, gutless and devoid of ideas!!! not bad for a team desperate for the points!! We all know we are not good enough, but no spirit is just a ****ing disgrace!!! wheres the broom anyone?
egreog Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 Same old stuff from the most useless bunch of so called "footballers" ever to wear the shirt..........I said for months they don't give a stuff as long as thety pick up their unearned income each week............relegation should be followed by a totally clean slate...........get rid of all this driftwood and start afresh, even if it means another relegation next year.............. until the club is rid of the uncaring waste there is no way forward............in fact, after today there may well be less people with more money than sense wishing to save the whole thing!!...........
Toomer Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I personally can't wait for 19C's musings. That will be after Rupert has given him his script.
