Owls 1-0 Saints - First Half/Half Time

Interesting opinion. Feelings will be inflated during a game, "knee-jerk" isn't the right word, although I hope you know where i'm getting at...

We are likely to be docked 10 points (this season or next)

We don't know who our new owner will be (if any?) and how wealthy they will be

Those 2 things are more important than this result when it comes to long term future.

45 minutes? survival? not for me, but I respect how you feel.

Well, I admire your blind optimism, but you clearly have no inkling how very close to complete oblivion this club is. This result could put us down, which in turn could change any hope of ANY decent investment. We really are 45 minutes (or so) away from potential complete disaster IMO.

The team and managerial combination is useless - as much as we all want a fairytale ending to a nightmare season, the players and management of the team have been collectively dreadful. But there are a number that will be gone in the summer. Where will the money come from to invest in new players that will do any better? It is bleak!

45 minutes to keep the season alive, Wotte should just go for broke in the 2nd half imo.

I think we did that in 1st half. He has not got a f*cking clue...he should know by now that a strong midfield will walk all over a midfield diamond formation that includes a prancing lazy forward in McGoldrick and two clapped out wingers that NEVER run to the byline. Couple that with an immobile dinosaur in Wotton who has no idea how to pass and what you have is a disaster waiting to happen.

WE HAVE BEEN DOWN ALL ****ING SEASON, THE PLAYERS COULDN'T GIVE A ****, NO FIGHT, NO PASSION, GIVE UP

Down all season? The earliest you could say that would be the home loss to Doncaster, almost halfway into the season.

I'm not sure its that we have no fight, no passion... maybe its that the players on the pitch are simply not good enough? a lot of overrated players. huge wage top player possible saviour Saganowski on the BENCH!!!?!?!?!!???!!??!!?? Not right. More the fault of off the pitch and managerial decisions than the players not showing enough effort.

Well somehow we have to find 2 goals to keep the faint hope of staving off relegation alive. Just not sure we've got 2-goals in us at the moment.

Shef Weds have concieded the least amount of goals at home in the CCC as of this morning , tough to get goals here

Need to get something out of this game, even if it's a draw, otherwise we're down IMO

Size seems to flucuate so strongly in terms of his performance - he was awesome against Watford and Palace, now what has happened to him? like the Charlton game...?

In all honesty I've accepted we're going down for a fair few weeks. If we do go down it wouldn't bother me that much. I just want a ****ing club to support next season.

Yes I think many have accepted it Griffo I'd just like to see them go down Fighting not like this a damp squib as B Rabbit has just confirmed. Going down as were just plainly not good enough is bad enough but to go without a fight is just not acceptable.

Premier League worldwide over here in Australia just telling us about the highest goalscoring weekend in English football. Last week was 40 for the league, while in October 1997 there were 41. Results included one of my first games I saw and a happier game as well - SAINTS 4-1 BARNSLEY.

Those were the days...
