Toomer Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 Where the **** is Scooby? On his farm in Gloucester, with his mate NC.
Legod Third Coming Posted 17 April, 2009 Author Posted 17 April, 2009 Well, lets see, all the fans could unite and stop arguing as to who is to blame. Saint Robbie believes we have, I am not so convinced but he is closer to the action, so I will defer to him. Don't think I suggested the thread was going to stop an Indian billionaire or anyone else. Hmm...let me take another look at what I said. Are we disunited in our desire to see a successful club? Are we at loggerheads over new ownership? Are there fights breaking out in the stands... You'll have to forgive me because I've stopped going as a protest now that Lowe is no longer there to go to protest about...
SaintRobbie Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 Club is completely united. Just need a new owner to be declared so we can get on with rebuilding the damage done, primarily, by Rupert Lowe.

saintwarwick Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 Remind me of the Pros. How long you got? There were pros to many of the initiatives and approaches taken by lowe even some of those that did not work - many failed in crap execution' date=' does not make the idea wrong... its just an alternative perspective and you know it really ;-)[/quote'] There were pros and cons under Lowe, unfortunately people like docker-p won't admit to the pros as it doesn't fit in with his argument.

The problem is the pros are a bit like saying you had a nice dance in the ballroom on the Titanic aren't they?

Maybe we should run a contest on how long it will take for an argument over new owners, presuming we do get some! How about on the first day they are announced, someone will be at loggerheads with another poster.

Maybe we should put Crouch left wing and Lowe up front, then you'd never hear about them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Johnny Shearer Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 Oh for f**ks sake. How many times has this been done to death in one form or another? One person moans, then another. Egads! I'm surprised people aren't queuing up on the Itchen Bridge ready to fling themselves off it!
Daren W Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 The problem is the pros are a bit like saying you had a nice dance in the ballroom on the Titanic aren't they? lmfao... Genius...
Tamesaint Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 There were pros and cons under Lowe, unfortunately people like docker-p won't admit to the pros as it doesn't fit in with his argument. So where are the pros then???
saint1977 Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 Who cares frankly. SLH is pulverised and we need to somehow to find a buyer to keep us alive. Sundance can post all the rubbish he wants but frankly it matters not a jot. It doesn't look too bright a scenario right now but perhaps the more modest buyers that the adminstrators are talking to are keeping expectation realistic and not much seems to be leaking out which could be encouraging.

alpine_saint Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 (edited) Understnding the complexities is interseting to some, and importantly, hopefully a good way of ensuring we dont make the same mistakes again - oh and some of probably think that the hate thing, ans over emotive crap aimed at teh main but not only culprit is a bit sad really... in a nutshell like. And Mr. Fence wants facts to support opinion, rather than emotion... Well, here goes.... The appointment of Stuart Gray 2 years later... The appointment of Steve Wigley 3 years later... The appointment of Jan Poortvillet What does these monumental f**k-ups all have in common ??? Come on Fencey, it aint hard... Edited 17 April, 2009 by alpine_saint
saintwarwick Posted 17 April, 2009 Posted 17 April, 2009 So where are the pros then??? Ask Lowe, as you said he sits behind you in block 4.

You take fence sitting and diplomacy to an altogether new and uncharted high. "many failed in crap execution, does not make the idea wrong" Surely the execution of any plan is 99% of the job of the leader of any company/ organisation.

And he MUST take responsibility for failure... but has never due to incipid leadership. **** him... he's (bad) history.
Legod Third Coming Posted 18 April, 2009 Author Posted 18 April, 2009 PMSL. one of the best pictures on here ever...
Saint 76er Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 For some bizarre reason, they seem to feel they have been vindicated. Which is f**king whacko. The bloke has presided over two relegations, the club going bust and probably the club ceasing to exist. Come on now Alps, you know Lowe did a good(ish) job really don't you?... Well, admittedly there were the few minor points you mentioned above... oh and then the three Dutch coaches this season (notice how Rupes refrained from sacking any more managers by calling them all coaches ) and some Dutch agent who mangled our player recruitment. Some unkind supporters did seem to have a problem with loaning out our best players to our rivals and playing the youth team in their place whilst spending what money we did have on a bunch of loans that even I would admit were the biggest pile of sh*te I can ever remember gracing our club. Still what do I know, I'm sure it was all for the best if Rupert says so. Strangely, even more criticism was leveled at our football maestro for his inspirational replacement of possibly the best young manager outside the premiership with some sort of Dutch amateur coach who knew nothing about English football and proceeded to prove it with the most bizarre tactics or lack of them ever seen on the hallowed playing fields of this great and sceptre'd isle. Those same critics even blame Rupert for not replacing him until we were all but relegated, thus proving that some people are never satisfied. Rupert Lowe is, of course, utterly blameless (in his own mind) and he has even condescended to allow his minions onto this board to point out the error of our ways and to point the finger at the real culprits... the clubs (long suffering) fans and that arch villain Crouch. Thank you Saint Rupert....

solentstars Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 I dont see unity on the fanbase.I suggest you wait to see what happens after administration. The triumphant Wilde bunchers were giving it the big one last time. Wilde tee shirts etc Looooooooooooool I hope we get somebody all sides can unite behind, but lets hope we still have a club got to agree the clubs future is on the line and all we get is more silly threads about lowe by the same people who have nothing better to do but live in the past. its all lowe with them nothing about the great new dawn when wilde and his bunch rode into town with the support of many on this website and then bankrupted the finances bigtime the last two seasons. all 3 of the major shareholders have brought this club to its current state and hopefully we can get a buyer. who cares if you are pro or anti lowe the clubs on the verge of bankruptcy.

I agree to be honest. But, just enjoying the irony of Lowe being ultimately humiliated and removed by a Bank rather than the others in the boardroom. Come on there has to be something to smile at. Its been 14 years of pain and he's finally sent on his way with a flea in his ear for poor financial acumen... its justice. But, yes, time to welcome the new buyer. ... hurry up though Mr Fry my grin over Lowe's humiliation is starting to ache!
um pahars Posted 18 April, 2009 Posted 18 April, 2009 got to agree the clubs future is on the line and all we get is more silly threads about lowe by the same people who have nothing better to do but live in the past. Fck me, don't you remember the classic thread you started a few months back (that was really in the spirit of unity wasn't it!!!). Being lectured on here in recent days by some of the most rabid protagonists is somewhat galling if not giggling.

If you want to solely blame Lowe then you are also humilating yourself. Nevermind we are 1-0 down so keep smiling.
