John has been with the club many years now and is club president I believe.

He attends many games and I always see him at Staplewood if there is a Ressie game.

Does anyone know what that role means? Does he have an active role in the running of the club or is it just purely an ambassador role.

I guess he is not an exec or anything so doesnt get to vote at all but guidance as he has seen it all in his time.

I cant rememebr ever hearing from him at all on the OS/Echo etc.

Not aiming a slur at John at all here just trying to see if he is affected in all of this...must break his heart seeing it go the way it has.

A truly wonderful man in the Ted Bates mould but as you said is very quiet and unassuming person. Not sure what club president entails but thought it was purely an ambassador type of role. I agree that it would be good to hear something from him or his thoughts for the club for the future.
