Forest Allocation

Was going to catch the train but as StuRomseySaint said earlier in the thread, public transport is no good that day. I have just checked and If you catch the 1st train out of Soton you don't get to Nottingham until after the KO (no direct trains) !

I doubt it very much due to the cost but do you think the club would lay on a football special!?

Not a chance.

The club will lay on as many coaches as are required, but I'm not even sure it's possible to charter a train - and on a Sunday, there's likely to be engineering works getting in everyone's way as well.

No problems with ST holders going to their first away game of the season, as long as they make some noise!

Assuming the 2nd batch of tickets (Saints should order it ASAP) will go straight to members?

Fans aren't gonna have much more than 2 weeks to plan transport, travel etc. (But it's ok, it's a bank holiday weekend so piece of cake, thanks a lot football clubs!)

I'm having a knee operation the week before. I wonder if anyone can tell me if they have ever taken crutches into a football stadium?

I took a pair into SMS these season no problem.

SMS were very helpfull when I had mine, even offered to move me foward to make it easier for me. That was last year in the Northam.

cheers chaps. Anyone taken them to an away game?

I'm half dreading that last minute McGoldrick winner that keeps us up and sends them down (I predicted this three months ago to annoy my brother in law that comes to Saints games, slates McGoldrick, but is a massive Forest fan) as I'm normally like zeberdee when we score and that could **** my knee up for keeps.

What can you do?

For those people buying more than 1 ticket, I thought it was currently 1 Forest ticket per season ticket - Right?

Also, who the hell shells out £20 for membership these days - it was worth it when 32k were sold every week but i cannot see the benefit since relegation!

I guess its the games like this that are the benefit!

It is definately one ticket per season ticket, but I think you'll find many on here are getting tickets for either other season ticket holders or are using season tickets from people who are not going to the game for other supporters.

There's no way they'll sell second batch straight to season ticket holders. That would just be unfair on people with season tickets who have to sort certain things out before they can buy

Just like its unfair that members have to wait til next wednesday praying they arent all sold. Swings and f*cking roundabouts.

According to this 4,750 fans can fit into the away end, so if we sell these fast enough then we could be looking at an extra 2,500 odd.

But they're only obliged to give visiting teams a certain proportion of the stadium's total capacity (10% capped at 3,000?) and since they'll certainly be looking to sell out the rest of the ground, there's no prospect that we'll be given any more than the minimum.

No it doesn't.

If you go shopping in Tesco 10 times and Asda 10 times.

I go shopping in Tesco 20 times.

Who do you think will get more Tesco Clubcard points?

You are not a customer of SFC when you attend away games, so why should you get priority over their customers?

If you are someone who is a home AND away season ticket holder then of course you should get priority, but there are plenty of tickets to ensure that STH's will not be dissapointed.

Tough sh*t if you don't have a Season Ticket, one of the 'perks' in the T's&C's when buying a Season Ticket is priority for away games.

Once again.... Tough Sh*t

Very possibly THE most ridiculous argument I've ever read. And I think you know it. Hence the multiple 'Tough sh*ts'

Why do you keep referring to football fans as customers? When someone asks you who you support do you say 'O I'm a Southampton customer.' Of course you f*cking don't. Because although that may be the case its not the reason we go to football. We go to support the team! Not the f*cking bank balance. Its true that STH give more money to the club than the IMO more diehard who go to 15 home games and 15 away (my situation). I live in Epsom (about 70 miles away) and have Saturday school and although I have tried having a ST (last season) it just doesnt work as I can only make somewhere like 15 games. A waste of money for me personally (and before you say it, yes I prioritise my finances over that of my football club). So having made the trips to support the team at Doncaster, Derby, Cardiff, Swansea etc, isn't it fair I get to support them at the most important away game of the season. But thats not really the point and I hate 'I'm a better fan than you arguments' just the same as everyone else.

So anyway, back to the point. Away fans give their support. Valuable support that earns the teams points. So as you say we would already be relegated if it wasn't for the STHs, but its not unfair to say we probably would already relegated if it wasn't for our away fans. x

I like the way you have defined "the most diehard fans" as the fans whos attendance patterns just happen to be.....exactly the same as yours.

Well done, you win the prize and definitely are the bestest.

Stu is right. ST holders get priority and deservedly so, unless you think the ticket office should spend fifteen minutes per fan explaining that they "live in Epsom, can't afford this, and I would but, and I've done this and and and and" and then make a decision about who fits the most deserving "diehard" category.

ST holders get priority, the end. And I am not a ST holder.

And if you've decided away fans take all the credit for the away wins, then thanks a bunch for your **** poor showing at Wolves the other day when we really needed you.

Or was that one not your fault?

ever considered that the vast majority of regular `diehard' away fans are also ST holders?

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that of those that have been to 15 away games this season most will actually be ST holders.

Yes ST holders should get priority, but for a whole week?! If they are that desperate to go, 3 days should suffice...

absolutely, but it will be sold ouy by tomorrow and then the next batch MUST be made available to everyone.

There were eight of us who got tickets today and at the rate they are selling,we will easily get the second allocation.I doubt no one will have a problem getting tickets if they want to.

We are also staying the night in one of their hotels,so that means no bingo bus and a good night out in Nottingham(as long as it doesnt come down to either us or them being relegated on the last day).

TBF I'm sure at least one of us will be relegated by the end of the game......

im a st holder and think the club should give priority to people who travel away before season ticket holders. IT is wrong that we have people who dont go away all season now we have a big game want to show up. It is always the same faces at away games so why now should it be any different.

Thank god, finally someone with some common sense

Agree with that. I think someone that has been to 10 home games and 10 away throughout the season should be more entitled to an AWAY ticket than someone that has been to pretty much every home game, for instance 20 of them.
