Crab Lungs Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 Novel idea by supermarkets to save themselves some cash on employing mongers to do it. However, that means you get civvie mongers fumbling around with their food, trying to find the barcode, taking twice as long as a normal queue. Regardless, I bought some new breakfast cereal t'other day. Was lovely

Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 They never seem to scan properly though, and no im not a mongtard, the machines (some fo them) seem to always incur errors. And my card always ends up having to be swiped as my chip is very temperemental so I end up just going to a hooman bean anyways.

Sven, Robocop, Joe Pasquale etc. I'm sure it'd amuse everyone in the circles I move in.

Jillyanne Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 When I use them some items have a habit of missing the scanner and going straight into the bag... This is of course not possible as it's all done on weight.

Junction 9 Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 "Unexpected item on the belt" How is this possible? Surely the item I've just scanned is exactly what the belt should be expecting.
Kaiser Soze Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 This is of course not possible as it's all done on weight. Not if you're smart enough to scan one item but simultaneously deposit more than one item in the bag.
Colinjb Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 I don't use them on principle. It's an excuse to lay off staff and use something cheaper long term. I would rather see people in employment.
