ottery st mary Posted 12 April, 2009 Share Posted 12 April, 2009 (edited) I have been a negative person this season but I am positive we will beat Palace 3-1. I am reaonably sure about this..Allowing for Wotte picking the right side..Playing the right strategy and making the right subs at the right time. Also if it is not raining or windy or sunny. I am also hoping Palace don't put out a ruffy tuffy team and scare us..especially at corners at set pieces. Other than that I am sort of positive about this one. Now for crying out loud Saints...do it for me and my not so positive fellow fans. I can see me kicking this negative behaviour pattern..Football its only a game. SKATE_HATE Posted 13 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 13 April, 2009 Well there you go the 1st required win. Norwich winning doesn't really help but Barnsley dragged back into it. After looking at the other teams remaining games I seriously believe we only need 6 more points. We must beat Wednesday or Burnley to set up a cracking final day. Not easy but very possible. Are all you negatives still negative?

I am SH unfortunately, not because of what we need to do on the pitch, I know it's a possibility to stay up but the FL will probably deduct points, they want to, whether they can is yet to be seen.I think we needed to resolve the debt issue a bit more quickly. If the Football League were going to deduct points then they would have done after their meeting. They realise they have ****ed up their rule book and are just trying to make it look like they are doing something to keep the moaning teams happy. They will not do it, they know that whilst other teams are threatning legal action we actually can take legal action and they won't have a leg to stand on. Forget about that it's only the football that matters!
Tomobz Posted 13 April, 2009 Share Posted 13 April, 2009 The FL wont deduct us points, they cant. They are just making a massive deal of it to save face, no doubt though that after this fiasco they will close the holding company loophole thing though. Forensic analysis of the club's accounts will not dissociate them enough from the PLC's accounts. The PLC incurred debt paying the FC's bills. SKATE_HATE Posted 14 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Just looked at the remaining games and can't see barnsley getting another point especially after their result yesterday. They only have one home game left and thats against wolves! Done the predictor again and win the next two we're safe before the forest game! COYR! CB Fry Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 (edited) Just looked at the remaining games and can't see barnsley getting another point especially after their result yesterday. They only have one home game left and thats against wolves! Done the predictor again and win the next two we're safe before the forest game! COYR! You're off your head. We deserve to go down, we've been awful all season. League football usually delivers justice*, and justice for our performances this season is for us to finish second bottom. Even the people saying we only need to stay two points adrift of Forest to have a chance are equally deluded - there are two relegation spots, meaning yeah we could beat Forest and finish above them....third from bottom. It's highly likely the last day scenario will be for us "to beat Forest and and and and and". It aint happening. Forest and Norwich have shown some momentum and one of them will stay up and deserve to. Barnsley have enough points in the bag and a game in hand to easily finish above us - they haven't been bottom three pretty much all season so can't see them starting now - remember the great Plymouth collapse everyone predicted? 4-0 home win. Safe. Oh. Barnsley need to win one out of four. We are relegated and yesterday, although welcome was the dead cat bounce. Oh, and one more thing - if you switched our fixtures around with Barnsley's you'd be saying we'd walk it - away to Coventry and Plymouth: mediocre teams with zilch to play for and away to Reading who are under massive pressure. Home to Wolves, yep, a toughy. Plus that game in hand. We're down, son. Edited 14 April, 2009 by CB Fry *deductions etc notwithstanding. That's another story. fanimal Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 We do not deserve to go down until we actually are, and we are not yet. SH is right to remain positive, as no doubt will 30,000 others be on the 25th after we have beaten Sheff Wed and are still in the mix. take each game as it comes is a cliche, but that is what WE and by that I mean the players and the fans, have to do.
