Iowsaintsfan Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 With less than a month to go for possibly the last game in the championship, or worse, whats the theme this year? Ideas here:
Griffo Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 I tell you what, if we are already down I am ****ing up for fancy dress. Disney themes? Costumes would be pretty easy to get hold of too. We could all go in the full kit? socks, shinpads, shirt, shorts. Clowns? Halloween themes? Muslims? Not a clue really. Would have to be planned well in advance as pretty much no one did the cops and robbers last year at WBA. Need to make a choice early on and stick with it.
sotonjoe Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Prisoner's of war and all that for the great escape
Saint Garrett Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Superheros, cos thats what we need to have a football club!!
Arizona Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Mourning dress One on the right looks waaaaaay too happy.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 miners... cos we're going down Miners! In Nottingham? That would be ironic after the role their miners played all those years ago!
ericofarabia Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Sylvia Kristal (?) the bird who played Emmanualle., Going Down, going down, going down ....
stardustonmyfeet Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Miners! In Nottingham? That would be ironic after the role their miners played all those years ago! Yes, that too. They'd love it.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 I recommend the players wear something like this during the traditional end of season lap of 'honour' : If Drew Surman or Adam Lallana etc had worn this during the games it would hardly have made much difference .
dubai_phil Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 (edited) I thought the numbers game on TMS had been banned...... However if the two at the front are going to the Forest game I'm booking me flight now Meanwhile - as per the other undertaker comment - just very simple - everyone wear black tshirts/tops/****tail dresses, It will be our funeral, Of course there is always the Reversed Robin Hood (ie Dennis Moore of Monty Python fame) theme being Nottingham and all that - reversed for the fans appeal for cash at the moment - steal from the poor to give to the rich.... OK, I'll put myself out of my own misery. It's Moulin Rouge (granted could have used a better pic) The literal English translation of Moulin Rouge is....................... RED WINDMILL thank you and goodnight. :smt033
dickyhale Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Lee and l are going as Batman and Robin and the misses as woder woman MAYBE
rocknrollman no2 Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 I might go dressed as a submarine toilet because i think we will end up lower than one.
saintwarwick Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Mourning dress One on the right looks waaaaaay too happy. Maybe she just lost her husband
spyinthesky Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 How about half dressing as country squires with the rest as beaters in honour of our dear departed Chairman! A big banner with the words.. 'RPERT LOWE FAILURE'... might hit the spot.
Weston Super Saint Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Maybe she just lost her husband Look at her left hand
niceandfriendly Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Surely black suit and tie? Funeral dress?! Quite apt and everyone could do it. Not that exciting I grant you that... but cheaper than clown suits.. handy during a recession.
rallyboy Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 the team could all go dressed as professional footballers, the back four could wear defenders outfits like real teams have, and Wotte could pretend to make useful substitutions and effect the play on the park - it would be a hoot.

The Majestic Channon Posted 11 April, 2009 Posted 11 April, 2009 Won't we feel stupid and embarressed enough ? having the forest fans singing ' going down' whilst being dressed as tweedle dee and tweedle dum is enough to make me commit suicide. Never understood all this dressing up to look like a turd on the last day myself, though the franny tashes at oldham were half ok.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 12 April, 2009 Posted 12 April, 2009 Why can't we just get ****ed and bugger the cringeworthy fancy dress?!?!
ulstersaint Posted 12 April, 2009 Posted 12 April, 2009 Undertakers like Private Fraser in Dad's Army. "We're doomed!"
Saints foreva Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 Our away end is going to look really depressing if we go by the team colours.. Flint and red....
diggers Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 One afternoon in my office about a year ago I was bored and for some reason or other decided that it would be a laugh to go on the UK deed poll site and get myself a middle name, (as i didn't have one, lack of imagination from the old folks). So for the Forest game, I will be going as myself, Spongebob!!! My mates also up for being Patrick!
bungle Posted 16 April, 2009 Posted 16 April, 2009 Rupert Lowe. Bit of gammon to be stuck to each cheek, and you have to wear a suit.
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 April, 2009 Posted 16 April, 2009 Why can't we just get ****ed and bugger the cringeworthy fancy dress?!?! +1.
